Where does the PS3 rank in best consoles of all time

This gen has been very stale in the JRPG genre. I NEED Final Fantasy XIII, VS XIII, and XIV NOW! At least we have Lost Odyssey and Mistwalker Studios.

That they do. And yes, Square in their golden days were the best JRPG devs ever, I think pre-merger Enix came close. Star Ocean and Dragon Quest are two phenominal series'.

Secondly, name me all the games you know for the Saturn BlackTragedy.

Thirdly, find me a RPG as good as the KOTOR games on the PS2 Gxgear.

Heck, find me a FPS as good as the Halo games on the PS2. :o

I didn't like all the games the PS2 offered (Mostly the JRPG's/Racing/and platformers).

The PS3 can't even come close to either the PS2 or the SNES to be considered the best system of all time. Hell, I still rank the PS1 higher than the PS3 at this point in their respective lifespans.

Either way, I doubt the PS3 will ever knock off the PS2 as the best console of all time. The PS3's library can't even hold a candle to the PS2's or the PS1's libraries.

Of the three, the PS3 is the weakest home console in the Playstation family.

I love when people whine and cry about someones opinion in a thread asking for ones opinion.

The 60GB PS3 is easy one of the top 5 consoles ever, but IMO the best Sony console too. The other four are NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube (Panasonic Q), in no specific order- for the record.

PS3 is a great console but I can not see it being it in the top five. The classic consoles such as Atari 2600, NES, SNES, N64, PS1 have that title. Then after those the PS2, Dreamcast.. POSSIBLY top 10, but definitely not top 5.

There is no way the PS3 is a better console than the PS2. Against the PS1, its a little more debatable, but I still think the PS1 edges out the PS3.

The PS3 is still a young system, and it has a long way to go before it can even challenge the PS2, SNES, and PS1 for the title of best console ever made.

It's abit too early to tell.

id say top 10. but its no way near #1. or even top 5. i mean, there is no way its as good as ps1, ps2, genesis, snes, nes, n64, or the 360. but thats just my opinion. and it still has lots of life still in it.

I started gaming withthe atari and I have to say the PS3 is second only to the SNES in my opinion.

i voted top 10, but i am sure it would be among the top 5 if not the best of all time by the end of this generation.

It's easily in my top 5, but even I wouldn't say it's the best console of all time.

The PS2, PS1, SNES, NES, N64, Genesis, Dreamcast, GCN, Saturn> all three of this gens consoles IMO.

It barely missed top ten for me at this moment, but it could make it on my list of top ten by the time this generation is over. There is still alot of time left, so for me nothing is set in stone yet.
