you not knowing the pc's lineup = it not having aa big exclusive? ever hear of shogun 2: total war? the old republic?

come on. this generation alone the pc has more high scoring exclusives than all three consoles combined. what is this "no big games as usual" business all about?

tropico 4 is getting a 360 port im pretty sure.Strangely worked fairly well on consoles apart from some frame rate issues interface was simple but deep and functional.

I see consoles are so popular that their big exclusives are 1st party projects.

Why criticise PCs ability to attract big budget exclusives, when your list just demonstrates consoles have paid for theirs?

Wow there is a game of thrones strategy game coming out thats awesome. However after looking at some screens im not sure what to make of it. Too bad Creative Assembly didnt handle it, it seems like they would have nailed it.

Yeah i want to know too, i love PC exclusives, specially the ones that don't make a lot of noise in most web sites like Recettear or King's Bounty.

Unfortunately they didn't get the TV rights, so the art style is a bit different from what's now in my head.

I see at least 3 that are big budget AAA+ games. At least 10 that are going to score highly and be a lot of fun, but won't have a huge budget. The rest are indie darlings, and indie new comers or unkowns.

Exclusvies exist as insurance for consoles, to make sure an underpowered system still sells. PC's don't have exclusives. There is no entity sitting there going "Well let's make sure nobody can make this for another platform," it's an open platform.ZombieKiller7

I'd say they don't NEED exclusives, and I certianly would agree that since it is an open platform, the concept of payed for exclusives -which is pretty much the only type of exclusive that exists on consoles- is compeltley alien.

But the fact remains - the PC does actually have exclusives. Not in the sence that some suits got together and payed some developer to develop something exclusive for the PC 'cause they need to compete with some other console company, but just as a result fo the platform's open nature, cheaper development, and unique control set.

Diablo 3 is NOT on PS3 also. Don't know what you are tlaking about.

All we have on Diablo 3 for consoles is that they might have hired some console programmers to see if a Diablo related project could possibly be done on those platforms. That doesn't mean Diablo 3, that doesn't mena that anything in particular might even come out (remember StarCraft ghost?).

Still exclusive until it comes out, as far as the metagame goes.

As far as reality, it's being ported from pc to consoles, so nobody really cares as it didn't affect the quality of the game.

Although I'm not commenting directly on whether or not D3 will hit consoles at some point, a site selling a PS3 version is about as much proof; as that site listing Crysis 1 for 360 a few years back.

Also to add:

64player MP is all about opinion, 32players can be better.

Skyrim was made for consoles, it is good game out of the box on consoles. To sad PC gamers need wait for mods to play the game :(

I don't think is a failed thread since as a none heavily PC gamer i'm always looking for some underrated games on the PC, and while TC attempt to flame the PC was indeed a failure, in the end it has helped me to find some PC games to look forward this year.

The Witcher 2 wouldn't come to consoles if it was not successful on PC. So you have PC to thank for ever seeing it on consoles.

I wouldn't bet on D3 and GW2 coming out this year because we know Blizzard and an MMO can always get delayed.

After the DX 11 patch Shogun 2 is a masterpiece, and (imo) the best game this year so far. I doubt any PC exclusive will be better, and only a handful of multiplats might be better.

There are so many fantastc multiplats coming out this year that exclusives don't matter all that much unless you want a horn to blow about your preferred system.

Skyrim was made for consoles, it is good game out of the box on consoles. To sad PC gamers need wait for mods to play the game :(

Wow, I've been in SW a while; but that's some interesting spin...

The console version will be good out the box, but the PC version will have to wait for mods to play the game? The PC version will be a carbon copy of the console version, mods just improve on that vanilla console orientated experience.

So why would the console version be "good out the box" but not the PC version?

The Witcher 2 wouldn't come to consoles if it was not successful on PC. So you have PC to thank for ever seeing it on consoles.

I suppose its consoles fault for all those previously console exclusive games hitting PC this gen? Consoles just couldn't sell enough huh?

I'd take a small indie game like Panzer Corps (which will be released this week) over Gears of War 3 and Uncharted 3 combined any day. There're a lot more interesting games on consoles other than those 'more of the same' big budget titles.
