Where is the hype for Ratchet & Clank?

It's absolutely gorgeous visually and i wish i had it on PC, that is a damn fact, why are we getting pleb games like UC4 hyped about it's rubber looking graphics?

Oh right good games don't get hyped, only ones that are dull and boring with rubber visuals.

It came out more than a week ago. In SW time... That's like a decade or more.

UC4 is old hat.. it's just UC1,2,3 with prebaked cakes and rubber dildos for graphics.

Meanwhile Ratchet & Clank looks supreme.

The game had plenty of hype dude, it's not our problem if you are behind in the times. Looking silly here because you are out the loop. UC4 is just the "now" game doesn't take away from R&C so try again.

Personally, I just haven't cared for the games much since Up Your Arsenal. And even then, they were more like drought games to me, nothing I was exited to play.

But then there is this.

Yep, it's "old" news. Add to that the fact that UC4 just dropped with a 10/10, R&C becomes an afterthought. Just another small feather in the list wars cap.

Though you can bet your ass if R&C got a 10/10 here you wouldn't hear the end of it.

Go look at Amazon reviews or NPD results for last month. The game is doing great.

The original one got a higher score on here and MC so whatever hype this new remake had came and gone already. Also the movie flopped so bad so whatever hype that could have came from that failed miserably.

No it didn't. You don't have to lie to kick it cow. It had minimal hype. Just because YOU had personal hype doesn't mean the rest of the world did.

Never got into them. Just not my thing. But it did well and people here do like it. We like U4 as well. You're the one crying about it.

It got great reviews and sold a ton. QB got average reviews and sold shit. Cry more tit.

Game is definitely overrated graphically but man, it's fun as hell to play.

Isn't it a remaster like 90% of PS4 "exclusives?" No one cares.

The game is selling great, just look at the NPD's.

It's actually a full blown remake for once lol.

I think I read somewhere that it's more of a re-imagining of the first title, re-designed from the ground up. Don't take my word for it though, I really have no idea.

Lems are used to only having 1 or 2 games a year. It is foreign to them to see a console get quality exclusives nearly every month so people play one and then move to the next rather than cling to a single game praying it doesn't flop and then having nothing else for months.

PS4 has too many games. If this was on the Bone, the console with nothing to play but 7th gen BC titles, we'd hear about Ratchet in 1 out of 3 threads. Simple fact.

Well there was a HYPE thread if I recall and for me personally, much like Sunset Overdrive, I am HYPE for ANY Insomniac game. I wish they would make a Resistance for the PS4, hell I'd even take it for X1/PS4. They are a great developer. The sales show people are responding to RC

@rekonmeister: uncharted 4s gameplay has actually innovated and switched it up, adding new mechanics and gameplay ideas, and that's more than ratchet did.

Original one is better.

It was announced to be the best selling game of PSN in EU and the second best selling game in North American PSN store

the game is selling beyond well and its still one of the top selling games on amazon EU, USA and Canada

I am not sure why they wanted to a movie. It was risky investment when they had to have known the ps4 was a safer investment.

I bought the game for my girlfriend and it is a great platformer. I am not sure why insomnia thought a movie was a good idea.

Actually loser, I'm playing UC4 and GS3 on my PS4. I know it sucks that you're so limited and you have to do what daddy Sony tells you. So sad

Finished it yesterday, it was a blast to play.

Currently playing Uncharted 4, they both have amazing graphics, but it's really hard to compare both.

Very different art style.

It got great reviews and was #2 game on NPD, that's plenty of hype already.

There is a lot of hype for the game- how else did it get such great reviews, and manage to sell as many copies as it did? It broke franchise sales records in the UK, and debuted at #2 in the NPD All Formats Chart in the US last month, too.

It's not a remaster. Completely new game. It takes the same story framework, but with all new mechanics, levels, weapons, and even characters. Definitely not even a 'remake' as much as it is a 'reimagining.'
