Exactly they can make more money off casuals and spend less money doing it than with hardcore games

I believe some Wii owners are losing faith in the Wii's ability to put out games that aren't meant for 5 year olds. Just because a few companies put out good games doesn't change that many more companies put out crap games on the Wii.

Every system will have motion sensing next gen. Hell, sony shoe-horned in the last minute a badly gimped motion function on their controllers this gen and MS is looking into it too.

i really think wii will be heading downhill if they dont make hardcore games in the next 6 months, PS3 has been gaining momentum ever since.mazin-95

You must be delusional if you think the PS3 will outsell the Wii, EVER. In fact Wii's sales will increase alot in the next months, and as for more hardcore games, do some research, there are plenty being made

Its called the arcade and it is a great bit of kit for the price.

I am not against the Wiimote at all - but it just doesn't have the games to back up the control method. Wii sports is still the best example of the technology being implemented correctly.

I don't have to , you can find them on gamespot, the Wii's upcoming lineup is extremely weak, there's no way to deny that nomatter how much of a nintendo fanboy you are.

You know when i was playing my Wii the other day and for awhile actually i asked myself a question. Where is this all going? What i mean is the Wii has taken over the casual market and has made billions for nintendo. But this has cost a lot of the hardcore nintendo fans grief. So what i am asking is since the wii has made millions for nintendo with winning the casuals do you think they will stay this way next gen, or do you think they will try to push casuals (wii sports, wii play, wii music) into more hardcore games? The two dudes above me already covered the 360 and PS3 lineups for end of '08, it's pretty clear the Wii's pales in comparison. Just in the next few months Gears, Fable, and the new Banjo drop on the 360.

Second, multiplats matter as well, without a doubt. If you have a PS3 and no 360 you are not going to care that Fallout 3 is also on the 360 when it releases. How is it being on another console going to affect how well it plays for you? Many of the greatest games of all time are multiplatform games, it doesn't make them any "worse." People should stop making excuses for Wii's horrendous multiplat support, that's one of the reasons (one of them, not the only one) the Wii has such an overall weaker library.
