Ive been a sony fan all through last gen. PS2 was the best.

I must have beenplaying my Wii or 360 when Nintendo took the crown, becuase i dont touch my PS3.

Lol. Im 18. I play DMC, GTA, Madden, and i love COD4 and Halo 3. The Wii was the first system i bought (then 360, then my PS3).

I currently play my 360 the most, but if i had a choice between getting rid of my Wii or PS3, i would get rid of my PS3 in a heartbeat.

Just becuase a game doesnt have blood and guts doesnt mean its only for 9-14 year olds, and just becuase a game does have blood and guts doesnt mean it will apeal to the 18-40 year old crowd.

Look at it library of games. Nobody that plays Madden, FPS's or action games like DMC or GTA would ever think of owning a Wii! While I cant speak for the legions of 9-14 year oldsthat own Wii's and thoroughly enjoy hours upon hours of SSBB or Zelda, but I can assure you that gamers between the ages of 18-40 wont choose to buy/play a Wii over a PS3 or 360!!! kungfuchaos

Is that why 3rd party developers are jumping ship to the Wii? Developing for the same method of control which has been used the past 20 years is pretty stone-age after all.

I think I was watching the conference and Sony announced $599 US dollars, it started from there.

I buy my favorite Nintendo franchises for Wii and DS, everything else I buy on PSP or PS3 because it's just better. Also adding up PS2, PSP and PS3 sales Sony is still dominating although not like they were in the past. Personally I like Nintendo and Sony games.

No, losers don't keep their crowns that's a valid point but to say the Wii already won this war isn't valid. Lets not forget that the PS1 and PS2 didn't sell over 100 million in 1 or 2 years it took 5+ years to sell that much. IMO the Wii doesn't have the staying power to be around long enough to sell 100+ million the PS3 however has the technology to last at LEAST 6 years.

and i do agree with you, i dont think that the Wii will sell 100 million consoles. i mean its still selling amazingly, but its bound to slow down. i also dont think that any videogame console that doesnt do anything extra (play dvds, blu-ray) can ever match what the ps2 has done.

but i still dont think that the ps3 will sell more units lifetime than the Wii. a good selling point for the ps3 was the fact that it was the cheapest priced blu-ray player on the market, thats not so true now.

I could have sworn I was 20 when I bought my Wii and then picked up a 360 like 6 months later. Now I do love GOOD games like GTA but I would hardly call DMC good anymore. Being 21 now and still not even considering owning a PS3 and playing the hell out of my Wii I think that completely destroys your logic there. Almost everyone I know who has a 360 and enjoys games like Halo, Gears, Call of Duty 4, Half-Life, and other more "mature" games has a Wii as well and gets plenty of use out of it. Also I would rather get hours upon hours of gameplay out of Super Smash Bros. Brawl than a whole 6 hours of gameplay out of oh say Heavenly Sword, so if you want nice graphics but a short ass game, then go with the PS3.

Also last time I checked many games you enjoy today have The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to thank for truly setting the bar for action adventure games. And I would take a Wii over a PS3 any day, hands down. Keep praying for MGS4 to not flop, I'm sure that it'll bring up sales for a month or two, but Sony isn't any closer to closing that 12 million gap now than it was at the launch of the PS3. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I'm sure you have some fondling of yourself to get back while watching videos of Snake's old body in that tight suit. Enjoy.

To the TC, I was busy with my school life. Had a terrible school year when the wii showed the world of its dominance over the ps brand. i pity most gamers here in my country don't even know the wii or the awesome nintendo games.
