Look at it library of games. Nobody that plays Madden, FPS's or action games like DMC or GTA would ever think of owning a Wii! Absurd I own a Wii a PC and have a bro with a 360 a Ps3 and a PC, We play our PC's the most and my Wii the 2nd most. The 360 and Ps3 havent got anythign to play that isnt better on the PC or just plain isnt worth our time.

To the TC, I was busy with my school life. Had a terrible school year when the wii showed the world of its dominance over the ps brand. i pity most gamers here in my country don't even know the wii or the awesome nintendo games.

I dont care which console sells the most as i will buy a PS3 sooner or later!! I have always owned 2 consoles ever since the Mega Drive + Amiga 600 days! I owned a PS1 + N64, PS2 + GC, Wii + ?!! Problem is the PS3 at the current moment in time is too pricey and has such a small ammount of games which are of major intrest to me at the current moment in time while the Wii has already several games i wanna play! I'm 60% through Metroid Prime, Mario Galaxy I've collected around 98 Stars, Zelda im still yet too get while RE:UC I'm still doing on the highest diffuculty and attempting to get S - Class (got through several of them on A)

I bought a Wii but personally think it's a bit of a fad. Even if it is though it's so cheap, it wasn't really wasted money, however the fact is that as usual Nintendo have made the mistake of concentrating their efforts on in-house development rather than providing for other developers. The technology is a bit old and we all know what happened last time Nintendo did that (N64 vs. PS, Gamecube vs. PS2).

The fact is that anyone who thinks any console other than PS3 is gonna win this gen war is a fool. For the simple reason that the PS3 has sold slowly only because it is so much more expensive, however now that Blu-ray is the preferred format anyone who buys an HD-TV will see a decent Blu-ray player that's also a games console as an awesome deal. The technology behind it is at least as good as the Xbox, however they did drop the ball a bit by losing exclusivity on GTA which would have sealed the deal.

Plus everyone knows XBox players can't talk to girls.

Do you play it by yourself or with others....I still enjoy playing Wiisports from time to time but only with my family. But we play Mario vs Sonic more than anything now. But we still go back to play Wiisports from time to time.

Yes, I do own a Wii and a 360. Ironicly, my favorite game on the FPS console, is Burnout.

edited to add, I find it funny when people say the only reason the Wii is selling is because its cheap. Maybe compared to the other two consoles it is, but $250+tax isn't a small amount of money to drop on anything for most people now a days.

I guess I expected more from it. Now when I play against friends we all do spin shots when returning a serve which are impossible to return, taking all the fun out of it for me. Golf and bowling are the only ones we really play now. Even then we usually quit half way through golf. As every player except for one has an horrific score like +20 after countless "out of bounds" and it's clear who the winner would be.

No damge control here, I actually predicted that the Wii would outsell both PS3 and 360 in many discussions, like a manufactured Boy band the Wii could explode I said, and it did. I have a Wii so soes all of my friends, do we play it often? Yea, do we like it? Yea, but on a whole different level /experience and reasons than why we love our PS3's and 360's.

ps3 better pick up sales, they are FAR behind the Wii. people have been saying that the ps3 will start to pick up sales. they have, but not enough to catch up to the wii, only just enough to beat the 360.

so the only fools i see are the ones that think that the ps3 will outsell the wii. there hasnt been any real proof that it will happen

And? hardware specs have little to do with generations in gaming consoles. The Wii is 2-3 times stronger than the GCN, therefore its an improvement and a generation jump.

Like I and many others have said, a game isn't hardcore.. players are. Tetris is one of the most casual games I've ever played, as well as one of the most hardcore games I've ever played. But its not a hardcore game, some people used to play tetris for hours on end. That in my book, is hardcore.

Xbox 360 arcade is only $30 more than the Wii, NOT that big of a price difference. Sony was stupid for thinking that people who bought the Playstation 2 would buy the Playstation 3 no matter what the price was. The Playstation 3 has very few of the advantages the Playstation 2 had.

Lets see, the Wii doesn't play CDs, doesn't play DVDs, doesn't do picture viewing all that great, and honestly the news and weather channels suck, so why would non-gamers buy the console? To play Wii Sports, well guess what sir.. right there, Nintendo has succeeded in turning non gamers into gamers. So your point there is a failure. As for casual gamers buying it, ok and? You don't think there are over 120million hardcore gamers do ya? My point being, in case you can't figure it out, The Playstation 2 was very attractive to the casual market which is why it sold as well as it did and why it has a lot of shovelware on it. Its still getting shovelware now, ie Nitrobike coming soon to the Playstation 2.

But but but the hardcore gamers don't play the Wii because it isn't hardcore oriented. My Wii is my primary console, although I have been playing my 360 more lately(I like Burnout, so sue me), its still my primary console. And like my only(atm) blog entry says, I consider myself a hardcore gamer.

Why is it less of a lifespan? Even though no one is making GCN games anymore, A lot of people are still buying the games and playing them. Super Smash Brothers Melee tournements were/are still happening to this day. Maybe not so much now that Brawl has been released, but you get my point I hope.

I was standing in line with 100 people on the night of the Wii launch waiting for midnight to roll around.

It was actually a lot of fun. Plenty of people to play DS games with. I wish I'd taken some pictures :(

You clearly don't have a lot of friends then. Outside of several of my friends (over the age of 20) that own a Wii, several of there friends own Wii's. I know lots of people over the age of 20 that own ONLY a Wii. Just becuase you and your group of friends don't choose to play a "kiddy" console, doesn't mean others follow your lead. You are likely in a small majority. I don't currently own a Wii, but that doesn't mean I don't want one.

I saw the same exact thing. The Ps3 issuppoerior(sp?) to the Wii in everyway, I mean it has way more AAAe's than the Wii, way more million sellers, sold way more consoles,costs less, and is a whole lot more fun than the Wii.. wait no.. none of that is true :) lol.
