Which 1st party console publisher 2021 release up till Today you like best?

Xbox (I have not played any of the Sony or Nintendo first party games this year)

All joking aside, they have all been really weak so far IMO.

Nintendo for me. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury was just so damn good. Pokemon Snap looks like it could be a really fun and chill game.

I do agree, Phil needs to do better, much better. Their current situation is laughable, some might even call it sad.

Things are looking slim all around, but get this... Today on the RDX Podcast, the Xbox “insiders” said that Phil and them are going to delay the first party Xbox games for the time being because of the console shortages. (I thought it wasn’t about the number of boxes sold, and about the ecosystem as a whole???) They basically set the stage for Bethesda and Xbox to show nothing substantial as far as the heavy hitter titles that have been announced, leaving only Halo Infinite to carry the Xbox brand for the near future.

Preemptive damage control, or are they on to something? Those are @Antwan3K’s boys, so I’m curious about what he has to say as well.

Why are you all so desperate? Two mediocre lineup for the year and you already trying to lobby which one is less mediocre? Is this all pre-emptive damage control for some coming soon?

It's bizarre how desperately insecure these cows are lately... something must be up. Like you said, must be pre-emptive damage control or something. Very strange.

They can sense that Sony's reign is coming to an end. Faulty hardware designed to fail, expensive games, censorship issues, company politics etc. all has them doubting the future of New Sony. Pair that with the success of the Series systems and Game Pass and you really can't blame them for drowning in self doubt and fear.

Please, even if I make a poll in june for 1st half of the year its still the same. But you know, delusions is your strongest points so you do you ~

2021 has been dire so I can't really pick a winner. But I'm interested in Returnal but haven't played yet.

Playstation would have won by a large margin if xbox would have been an option. You know every Lem picked Nintendo.

My opinions are as follows:

PS had a "Noice!", so they win.

Paying 70 bucks for it would be seriously lame though.. When / if ever it comes to PC, I'll gladly pay 15-20 bucks for it.

Both are pretty bad and bare right now but I'm going with PS because of MLB (which is now multiplat so is irrelevant on the list) and Returnal even though I haven't played the game and don't really care.. lol. It isn't because I think SONY killed it but mostly because I have no interest in any of those Nintendo games whatsoever at all since I own and beat 3D world multiple times last gen and have Super Mario Maker 2 which gives me all the levels I can handle.

To me this is practically comparing nothing to nothing.

I don't like either effort honestly, that was my point.. lol. I guess mediocre would be a way to describe it, but I wouldn't be that nice.

Perhaps a full fledged new SONY exclusive is something even though I prefer the Mario game it isn't new except for Bowser's Fury so on that note.. can they both lose? I mean MS might not be releasing all that much, but when going up against these lineups I don't really feel that it even matters at this point. All three of them seem to be waiting. I guess I can respect that and I know games take time to produce, it's just that none of them have done anything to blow the doors off in my opinion. I still don't even feel like there has been a true killer game released this gen outside of some mid to small sized indies.

Mario 3D World is the best game on the list, so that's a pretty easy win for Nintendo.
