I thought they were about the same. -Thinks-...UT3 may be a bit slower paced, but what else? I thought it was just UT2k4 with a new coat of paint. fewer maps, fewer game modes (lack of assault is criminal imho), not as crazy/silly, a diabolical "story" mode (the tournamtnet thing in 04 is better) and nothing in the way of interesting new weapons...just the same ol same ol. the selection of new maps was also very average...the better maps were the older and crazier ones imho. what did it improve? well it looked very pretty....and thats all i can think of.
SIlent Hill, as much as it pains me to say it. Origins was good, but Homecoming wasn't so much a dip in the road as it was a bottomless pit. Shattered Memories (apt title...) doesn't seem as if it will help things much either.
Street Fighter fell pretty bad compared to the greatness that was SF III Operation Flashpoint looks like it will fall pretty hard with the sequel\ C and C, though I still enjoy the games Fallout, Bethesda just screwed this one up in my opinion Empire Earth, EE 3 was an abomination compared to EE 1 and 2
When i say fallen i dont mean was amazing before but now is crap (it can mean that) but it can also mean a franchise that was the cream of the crop last gen but is now just good or nothing special (ala RE4 to RE5).

Il start of by saying Rainbow Six. I loved the original games. The gameplay felt right and required alot of skill. I enjoyed Vegas however i thought it was at least 2 levels below the original Rainbow six. It done very well critically and in sales but i would have preffered if they just kept vegas as a new franchise and kept classic raimbow six going.
Resident Evil? I dunno, many people were saying RE5 ruined the series because it's an action game instead of survival horror, so I'll go with the RE series as the one that has fallen off this gen.
