Which of the two has the best first party developers in the business? I vote Nintendo myself, I grew up with their franchises and Nintendo games and they still remain some of the best today.

Nintendo. Sony is also amazing. Microsoft's=meh. You can't expect too much from them if they reduce some of their best devs to making sports games.
Why are people voting Nintendo? Most of what they have done is wii sports resort and other simple games.
whoa.... red dead a M$ first party game? HAHAHAHAHAHAMicrosoft. Red dead redemption is AWESOME
sony sucks uncharted 2 is worst game
Nintendo zelda sucks too

Atleast a shooter has a storyline, setting, important characters, and a fun and interactive experience. I'd prefer that over a simple Wii sports resort. I like to support developers who put more time and effort into their games.

i would watch a movie or read a book because video game stories suck so hard. its crazy how modern video games are now and days
So basically, you're saying Nintendo was the best... until a few months after Sony released the PS1? In that case, I agree completely. Nintendo was the best. Right up until there was a PlayStation.Pre-1996 Nintendo.
Yangire
Nintendo, because:
kansasdude2009
:O
The characters can.... grow!
No longer midgets for the entire game!
I agree with Kansasdude. I say Nintendo>>Sony>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Microsoft.
Microsoft might be closer but they keep closing developers and look what they are doing to Rare. Rare made some good games but Microsoft is making them make Kinect games like Kinect Sports.

I can tell from your post count you spend alot of time on gamespot, so you must know how well nintendo's first party franchises (mario, zelda, metriod, smash bros, kirby, ect) have been historically. (hell, the two most critically acclaimed games of this generation belong to the man in the red hat). To say that wii sports represents nintendo's first party games can only be interpreted as a desire to remain ignorant.
WOW A majority think Nintendo? Nintendo's 1st party studios are so overrated.. Its just the same games generation after generation.. Sony By far hands down has the best 1st party support.

You do understand that there are more franchises by Nintendo right? At least I hope you do.
For me, I pick Nintendo (Shocking). I also perfer Sony's 1st party development also. Microsoft has absolutely no in-house talent. All they do is buy other companies to do their games for them and for exclusive things like DLC what not. And when they've had their fun they toss them to the side of the road (See: Rare, Ensemble Studios) to find their next victim. A buisness strategy I like to call....the Activision complex. :o!
Nintendo has it hands down. This coming from a owner of a 360 and ps3. Nintendo games are the only reason to have every Nintendo system since the The N64. Are any third party games even worth having on the Wii? Mario, Zelda,Metroid, Smash Brothers, Kirby, Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Mario Kart, Punch Out, Pokemon, Star Fox.... that just off the top of my head.
I put sony, i like how some of the stuff they are trying is new ip's, they don't really tickle my fancy though, nintendo is too much of the same, mario galaxy 2 might be mario perfection buuuut its still mario, saving the princess again...
and ms has some new stuff, i love some of the stuff, but there needs to be MOAR

3 games have gotten a 10 this gen. MGS4, GTA4, and SMG2. Of those, 1 is on Wii, 1 is on 360, and 2 are on PS3. Or, on Metacritic, if you prefer, all three systems have a game at 98. Or maybe you mean just exclusives, in which case, you're technically right. SMG2, 98, and SMG, 97, are the two highest rated games this gen. But that doesn't tell the whole story, does it? Wii has only 10 games in the 90s, only 4 of which are exclusives. PS3 has over 20 games in the 90s, 6 are exclusives, 8 if you count MLB the Show games. 360 has over 20 games in the 90s, 4 of which are exclusives. The only MS first party studio with games over 90 is Turn10. Ninty has EAD Tokyo and Retro. Sony has Santa Monca, Naughty Dog, Media Molecule, and Guerilla. The numbers don't lie, Sony clearly has the stronger first party, both in number of AAA studios, and number of AAA games being put out.
I'd have to say Sony. Though I love Nintendo's first party titles and Microsoft's first party titles. It's the reason why I own all systems. Sony just brings out quality title after quality title and in more volume. Nintendo brings out quality titles as well but not in as large of a volume. Microsoft has some quality titles but they need to have more first party support for the 360.
Microsoft. Red dead redemption is AWESOME
sony sucks uncharted 2 is worst game

Red Dead is also on the PS3. Yeah Zelda games do suck hard, I mean ocarina of time did not get any award and isnt classifies as the highest rated game of all time or anything like that........
