Cant think any1 that owns both Ps3 and 360 will buy the 360 version.

Oh that's easy, because you would buy FF on a PS3 and your only reason is that FF belongs on a Playstation console or it isn't Final Fantasy. :? Or maybe he's just used to it? Since you know, he played the previous FF's (not counting the Nintendo games) on the PS1/Ps2?[QUOTE="Solid_Link22"]
How the **** do you come to the conclusion that I am a brand loyalist?

On topic, I can't recall what I said in the previous threads. Ps3 I think....It depends though.
theres this thing on gamepro with one of the guys thats making ff13 and he says it uses almost 100 % of ps3s powerIm just really curious, which console you guys are going to play FFXIII on and why?
Personally i will play it on the ps3
May the votes begin!! :P

And why is that? Most multi platform games end up better on 360.[QUOTE="aroxx_ab"]

only multiplats that are developed on the 360 then ported to the PS3, multiplats developed on PS3 then ported to 360 end up better on the PS3 (ala Burnout Paradise).
Whichever console the game is being developed on will run the game better.
What if you can play on both.
Then what? You know theyre gonna look almost identically unless they mention it.g0ddyX
This is not Sony fanboyism, as currently, I only have a 360. I personally think the PS3 version will more appealing to those who have both versions because for one, Versus XIII is still PS3 exclusive, so PS3 owners will be able to have the WHOLE story of XIII.
And also, though it is not comfirmed whether or not the 360 version will be on multiple disks, since Lost Odyssey, what I'm assuming is a smaller game than FFXIII, was on 3 (I think) disks, FFXIII could be on anywhere from 4 to 6 disks(If one DVD has 9 GB, and a Blu-Ray can fit up to 50 GB, it will probably be 5 or 6, assuming the game fills a Blu-Ray disk of course), and if you have the option of having everything on a single disk, why wouldn't you choose it? Unless of course you care about achievements, which I personally do not.
at this point in time i expect to play it on the PS3 because i don't have a 360 yet.
However since the game is not released that may change and by the time it is out I may just have one.
I am saving for a 360, that is how i got the PS3, but planning and saving.
[QUOTE="djsifer01"]This will be the first horrible multiplat for 360. They are having to compress the audio and the graphics will be similar to what FO3 looks like on the PS3.Phantom_JUnless they, of course, spread it out across multiple disks. They can just combine both and compress and span to reduce the number of discs needed. Odds are most of the compression will go into speech, which is the easiest to compress. As for graphics, Square Enix already has to juggle with underperforming GPUS (thus it's only 720p@30fps) and 512MB of total memory, so concessions will have to be made regardless.
I just thought of something.
If it has the same development that Tri Ace put Star Ocean: TLH through (with the multiple disc) I can reassure you I will be buying the PS3 version for sure. That was just tedious and uneccesary IMO. Im still a little pissed that everytime I want an item from the second or third disc I have to switch back and forth. Especailly with the IC

Same here. If they do that I could care less if they improve anything for the 360. I actually cracked the second disc of SO taking it in and out of the case for that. Thank god the store I bought it from replaced it.
I am getting for the 360, only because of a bet I made with someone, saying that if the 360 ever gets FFXIII I'll pick it up for the 360. Both games will run the same, only the 360 would have more than one DVD, but I can make the long and dangerous trek to the 360 to chnage the DVDs when I need to.

Um, both controllers are run by batteries.

What does it run on then?
They'll most likely have to compress the audio files on it as well in an attempt put it on the least amount of discs as possible. Thats a complete guess on my part also. The less discs, the more appealing the package, so it stands to reason they'll do everything they can to get it onto as few discs as they can.

PS3 owners: PS3
360 owners: 360
People who own both: PS3
People who could care less about disc swaps, have both systems, and happen to like the 360 more= 360
People who could care less about installing and see that changing disc repeatdly (Looking at you Star Ocean) and never want to keep getting out of seat/bed/ etc and happen to like the PS3 more = PS3

Just like it wasn't on 360?It hasn't been announced for PC yet. SO even if they do announce it, the PC version wouldn't be out until a little while after the console release.
Although FFXIII on PC would be awesome

I wouldn't put it above them. After all, Crystal Tools is a PC, so porting would be a snap. It would simply be a matter of not ticking either Sony or Microsoft off in the process. I'd give them a year after the US release, by which time new purchases of the game on consoles would be low enough that it wouldn't matter.[QUOTE="Chaos_HL21"]

It would be the most logical step. The speech would be the easiest to compress, but even the music can be packed down 5:1 or so and only suffer the slightest of artifacts. Please Log In to post.
