Hm. I'd have to go with the gaming PC I built this generation...opening up each part was the closest I've felt in years to being a kid at Christmas again.

Of all time? Nintendo 64.

The PS1, I was a kid, it was my first console and unpacking something like that made my brain explode with excitement, but at that moment I never knew how much WIN that machine would bring for me...

But other than that, unpacking my PSP and PS3 felt damn awsome, it just that SMELL of new, all new things have this distinct smell, espeically games when you open them for the first time..

treedoor

I had a similar reaction to that when I got mine. More tamed though

At least that kid knows how great Nintendo is. That's all that matters.

The girl starts humping the box towards the end man.

well my PC was the most enjoayble...it came in 3 boxes. i got alot of extras with my PC....it was basically a money no object project. seriously...once in ure life u have to go insane on a PCs specs...theres nothing like it :D. out of the consoles...the wii. it has the coolest box. 2 trays full of little extras (and the console of course). its also all nicely laid out in there. the PS3 was probably the least satisfying imho. it was just a PS3 and then just the basics and a controller thrown in any which way. for whats supposed to be a premium console....the packaging didnt exatly inspire. not a big deal in the grand scheme of things of course :P.

I don't own one now but the PS3 was an exciting moment even though it only lasted a day.

Weird thread... This gen: The 360. Was wonderfully packaged and had plenty of 'bits and pieces'. You could tell that care had been put into its presentation. Quite frankly unboxing my PS3 was very underwhelming. Brown cardboard, a cheap manual and the usual bits. As trivial as such things are it sucked. However upon saying that I enjoy unboxing all my computer parts before assembling more than the two.

Assembling my PC was a weird fun. When I saw all that parts on my desk, I seriously wanted to put them back in boxes and just turn on my old PC. But, after a few hours of fiddling around my new and awesome rig, which turned out to actually working afterall, it was just... satisfying.
