I got a wii, because it was cheaper and I wanted to play some 1st party games. Now I'm getting xbox 360 for awesome online, and some games I missed out on from the past. Not to mention the games I want in the future.
I got all of them because otherwise how can you have the holy trinity? PS3, 360, Wii - Sea, Land, Sky - Father, Son, Holy Ghost. If you don't have all three then you cannot combine their elements and they are pretty much useless. Sure they can play some stupid games for nerdy 12-year-olds but fat lot of good that does me when there's a ten-foot demon centaur trying to kick down my bedroom door.
I got a PS3 because I perfer Sony's first party and third party support and my two hobbies are movies and video games which the PS3 shines in both areas.
I got a Wii to play games with my girl and my sister.
Wii was a gift to me.(onlt titles i play are Wii boxing and Smash Bros)
Ended up getting a ps3 because it fell into my price range on Ebay(40 gb for $280).. I dont Hate Xbox but i really cannot stand its controller design. Also with Sony i dont have to pay for online. Initially my purchase choice also fell into the waiting for FFXIII however it was noted that FFXIII was going to 360. I still dont regret my purchase i just enjoy the system. personally i dont understand the bickering bewteen console supremacy. All the systems are decent for this gen. My ps3 works fine.. and i'm simply enjoying the titles.
Considering snatching up a 360 very soon. 20 gigs are going for 200. It surely wouldnt hurt.
