360 better library

According to me it's Wii's library > 360's > Ps3's. Whatever *big* retail games is supposed to mean.
[QUOTE="drinkerofjuice"]Seek help Ed, and that's not a joke.Xaero_GravitySeriously, his obsession with proclaiming the PS3 as the superior console is genuinely scary. It's a proclamation I agree with, but the lengths he goes to is just weird. Copy+paste. "The lengths" So far lol.
so basically, "but the ps3 wins if you exclude this and this and this... from the 360's list "
keep up the good work eddie.
After all this time, people still care about this? How does this equate with actually playing the games?

NO ONE F*CKING CARES ABOUT THE 7TH GEN ANYMORE, BLAH BLAH CAPITAL LETTERS
Lol! your avatar is hilarious![QUOTE="kuraimen"][QUOTE="Miketheman83"] Why would we include last gen games in a debate about current gen consoles? You can't possibly be this dumb.Miketheman83Oh so now you're nitpicking for your convenience? You're a cheater mike. In the real world those games are a plus for the ps3 so why wouldn't we count them? Gamers can play them on the ps3 and NOT on the 360 and that's a plus for the ps3. I'm sorry mike but the ps3 has a better library of games no matter how you look at it, unless you want to cheat of course ;) I'm not nitpicking anything. in my lists I included hd collections for the PS3 and it still lost
You're nitpicking games genius. I can play FF7 on my PS3 and not on the 360. Why are you avoiding counting that one cheater?
Where's Trials HD, Limbo and 'Splosion Man for the 360?
They're retail games too!
How about Plants vs Zombies?
Yep! Also retail!
I mean, if you're counting Journey, you should count these other 360 games. Retail is retail, right?

Even though the 360 came out a year ( 1 year and 6 months in EU) later it still got owned
Plus look how outdated and repetitive the 360 library is, half the games are crappy 2005-2007 shovelware they don't even sell in stores anymore because they are so bad.
Look at the repetition  Halo 3, Halo Wars, Halo ODST, Halo Reach, Halo 4, Gears 1, Gears 2, Gears 3, Forza 2, Forza 3, Forza 4, Forza Horizon
BU BU THE 360 HAS 8967 games and the PS3 only has 7917 360 da betterz lololol
Lems, the sham is over, you can't hide behind big meaningless numbers, we cows have lists, we have objective readable, proof.
MORE GAMES. MORE EXCLUSIVES. MORE GOTY WINNERS. MORE GRAPHICS KINGS. MORE NEW IP's. MORE UP TO DATE LIBRARY.

Theres never been a graphics king on ps3 tho. Either console actualy.
Lol Self owned, they're all listed. Once again proving the PS3 has a better library. Told you lems, list is LEGIT, it's been done with total fairness and transparency, everything is easily checked.Where's Trials HD, Limbo and 'Splosion Man for the 360?

wii wins this department hands down all of nintendos exclusives bar wii music/fit actually did pretty well in terms of reviews and wii also has a ten under its belt-smg2
360 won the third party section and ps3 well for deep single player experiences ---thus all consoles excelled at something this gen
and wiiu is off to a good start in terms of library
No it isn't. Retail PS3 wins, and if you count total playable titles the PS3 wins too because of PS1 and PS2 games. Why are you damage controlling?Unique titles? WTH is this. This is SW, if you have 1 system which has the most games. Its pretty easy to see that that's the 360.

If you go to metacritic I'm fairly positive the 360 has more highly rated titles. If you wanna lean on PS1 and PS2 games you are failing to recognize that the majority of PS3 systems (over half) do not play PS2 games and even then, these titles aren't things you can go to the store today and find anymore. DC? I personally don't care but the ratings speak for themselves.

Majority of 360's don't play kinect titles, or a lot of the DLC because they don't have live it also counts addons DLC expansions and arcade titles as equal to weight to retail games. The only truly fair way to compare is to do Retail vs Retail, Arcade vs Arcade. Same categories of games that were reviewed by the same category of standards and the same scale. Which the PS3 wins, at least the Retail battle. If you want to play the Lem game and just click search on metacritic, ignore the fact that DLC, arcade, expansions, addons, games that came out later but are better but get worse reviews because they came out later etc... Infinite number of flaws, the PS3 still wins because overall library it has more titles then the 360. As far as arcade being lumped in with retail, its a fair point you make, I personally think a game is a game is a game but its fair to think otherwise. Expansions are often times more featured than the main game :P

I completely agree. I also did the whole metacritic count. When you don't count arcade, DLC, add ons, the 360 actually did have the slight favor in the amount, but not by much. Also many were Kinect titles like Zumba Fitness etc. I even posted almost the same exact thread as this not knowing it (PS. it was my fault this was originally locked as they thought I reposted it). My bad.
The lems are becoming out of control. I was hearing the 360 had 200 more 70-100 games, which is simply not true. The PS3 still has the more quality library no matter how many Metacritic numbers.

Hey I was just setting Mike straight. I don't see how any lem around here can try to pass the 360 off as a console with more critically acclaimed games and keep a straight face. Disagree 100% Awards are A LOT more telling of the quality of a library then reviews for example. Sometimes games score great because of hype, then a few months later everyone is like "bleh turns out the game sucks". But when a game scores great, the honeymoon period passes by and then it STILL gets showered with awards it means the game truly is great, it wasn't just hype. I know it's still not defintive proof, but if you don't know what you want and someoen tells you I have 2 games one won a ton of GOTY awards the other didn't everyone will pick the game that won the awards. Look at Journey, when it won GOTY it's sales skyrocketed.[QUOTE="Eddie-Vedder"][QUOTE="delta3074"]No eddie, the 360 has more games in total, the Ps3 may have more high rated retail games but the 360 has more total games Xbox 360=941 Ps3=772 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_3_gamesdelta3074Your missing Xbox, PS1 and PS2 games. No you don't, you only include games specifically made FOR that system , your argument is asanine in that regard. My comment makes sense and is consistent. Your argument ignores logic. A Metacritic search isn't a person, it doesn't think, it's just data. It doesn't give you "Games" it gives you any piece of content that's been reviewed.
Also your search yields games that weren't made for that system. So you jsut destroyed your own argument. Thanks.
[QUOTE="ActicEdge"][QUOTE="Eddie-Vedder"]Hey I was just setting Mike straight. I don't see how any lem around here can try to pass the 360 off as a console with more critically acclaimed games and keep a straight face. PS3 titles have won tons of awards, LBP, MGS4, Heavy Rain, Flower, Journey, Uncharted 2 and 3, Demon's Souls, MLB the show series, Infamous, God of War. I'm pretty sure there are 2 or 3 PS3 games that ALONE have more GOTY awards then the 360's full library put together. Uncharted 2 won an obscene amount of GOTY awards. Eddie-Vedder
U2 won probably around 100 awards. My time spent with U2 with around 10-12 hours. Which one of those stats do you really think is more reflective of U2 in the minds of the majority of people who played it. I'm gonna bet on the later. Awards mean nothing in evaluating a systems library. Absolutely nothing.
Look at Journey, when it won GOTY it's sales skyrocketed.Awards tell you a lot of people liked a single game. In a library of well over 1500 games, the maybe 20-30 games that win awards in a year don't say anything about how the 75 million people of that system are gonna perceive a library especially when they don't even know about these awards to begin with. A few case in point examples do nothing to prove a trend, a 20 years of gaming trend at that. Sorry man but no. And for the record, if someone tells you about 2 games and mentions GOTY as opposed to what type of games they are, they are really really really doing it wrong.

I said if you didn't know what you wanted or liked you'd pick the GOTY. Obviously if you know what you want it's diferent. For the avergae joe awards don't mean much but the more gaming you do the more you appreciate award winning titles. Just like with any hobby. Anyone that watches a ton of movies is going to have a great time watching all the Oscar nominees. It's only natural, they tend to be the most well done and or innovative titles of the medium. Ofc fans of the medium will appreciate them more.No you don't, you only include games specifically made FOR that system , your argument is asanine in that regard. It means total. And don't tell me a COD map packs deserves to count as hits but legendary AAA PS1 and PS2 titles like MGS, God of War, SOTC don't. You either make the comparison fit guidelines that make sense like I did witht he 80+ retail battle. Or you do total. And total means total. Eddie-Vedder

whatever you sy eddie, i know how this is going to go with you already, as far as i am concerned you don't count BC games when comparing totals,it's YOUR argument that ignores logic, logically you would only count games made for that system, it's the only fair way to do it, it's not fair to compare 3 generations of games against 2 generations and which games are you talking about by the way?I know I cant believe they are resorting to the PS2 game library to defend the PS3. Dire times to be a PS3 fanboy apparently."bubut the ps3 wins if you include the ps2 and ps1 library "

Awards from gaming media is such a load of crap that I can't help but laugh at the big deal. Its hype drizzled in hyperbole. Regardless, ask the majority of people, even people here if awards mean anything to gaming as a whole and the overwhelming response is going to be no.

It's pretty simple.
If a game isn't rated for your platform then it's not fit for library comparisons between systems. You can use backwards compatability as a pro, but when debating the library of the PS3 vs the 360/Wii/PC then you only use games rated FOR the PS3.
When you look at all the games reviewed for the PS3 on here, IGN, Metacritic, etc, it only lists PS3 games. You won't see it also list every PS2, and PS1 game ever made.
Only system where it does work like that is the PC, but that's why we have to put into place the rule that a PC gen begins at the same time as the first console launch in a new gen.

sometimes i think eddie's secret agenda is to embarrass the cows by making the most laughable claims and get them to agree with it.
