The PS3. Every 360 "exclusive"besides forza is (or will be) on the PC. And there are plenty of programs that allow for easy communication and file transfers between your PS3 and PC.You can stream videos, music plus a whole lot else from your PC to your 360.
I have a question tho. What is the point of like, doing that? Like, isn't that just a waste of time? I mean why would you want to put one file that already exists on toa slower (and in the 360's case, less reliable) machine?
"Cool, i have all my movies and music on myPC... now im gonna transfer those same files onto another computer! Sweet! They'll be on two PCs!! I'm so smart and awesome!"
I mean, wtf?H8s2spooge
Let's be honest, owning a 360 and PC is slightly redundant.
PS3 is the common sense choice for a hardcore PC gamer.

Bioware + EA = Mass Effect PC...
Anyway to each his preference....However PS3 has some pretty nice Japanese exclusives that will NEVER (and I mean it NEVER) come to PC...

Hmm, well all the good xbox 360 games end up on pc anyway so it'd be redundant to play them on 360, especially when it would have inferior graphics and online features to the pc version. I'd say ps3 or wii. Shaqneel
IMO this gen it will be a VERY close tie between M$ and Sony...If all the PC/360 multiplats were exclusive to the 360 then it would get a significant boost...
The 360 imo was a waste of money, but then again im not so easily ammused anymore, I hate the way the shooters work on the 360 controller ( Everything except Halo 3 ) , the EXCELLENT games list out side of this genre is very small, Forza2 was really the only outstanding racing game, ( PGR2 > PGR3/PGR4 ).
I would have to say either Wii or PS3, but ofcourse thats the more variety ooption providing you want a change, 360's "Successful" library is made up of PC Multiplats and some exclusives that are MOSTLY or NEARLY COMPLETELY Western bar ofcourse the legion of Capcom Multiplats around lately.
Ahhhhh
In my case the 360 is great - as it was quite affordable (1/2 the price of a PS3 when I bought it), and great for console multiplats, and has quite a few nice exclusives.
However I get the feeling that in the long run the PS3 will compliment a gaming PC better.

PC media? What do you mean?
You can stream video, music and photos from your PC to your 360 - over a network. Its pretty handy - have movies on your PC HDD, you can watch them on your TV.
It makes that crappy Apple TV redundant.

And, tell me how PS3 can't do that?

You tell me.IM not familar with the Ps3s streaming capabilities, or Windows Media player connectivity
PS3 is the obvious choice because most of the360's good games (like Bioshock, Gears of War etc.) are on the PC also. Whereas most of PS3's good games (R&C, MGS4, FFXIII, GT5) are only on PS3.PS3Compass
Depends. As someone who has mainly played PC games for the past 20 years I could not care less about those games (maybe GT5 but I wouldn't buy a console for a racer). If I liked those types of games I would have been a console gamer. For someone like me the only thing that could make me buy a console is the idea of having to wait for a stellar game like Mass Effect, which is the type of game I enjoy. The PS3 offers games that aren't normally found on PC and that's the exact reason it would never appeal to me.

You can stream media from PC to Ps3 using WMP or any DLNA compatible program.

Reminds me of PSP streaming (though that is homebrew).
Yes, the streaming is sweet. It is lame how lots of formats are unplayable. But thats also due to there being so many friggin' formats.
But, yeah, I've been streaming to my PS3 for months now. I use it a lot for music. When I have people over, I like to set up one of the sweet PS3 slideshows and show pictures and play music during the party. Great conversation piece.
I'm not sure how 360 functions in this regard but the next PS3 update will make it so video files will play back-to-back. So if I want to watch one of my homemade DVD's that I have stored on my HDD, I can go from one .vob file to another, playing the Entire DVD straight through. Good stuff.
