on the contrary i own both a 40 gig PS3 fat and an Xbox 360 arcade ( jasper chip ).

ive litterally felt the PS3 get hot after a few hours of gaming.

i had the jasper 360 '' PAUSED '' no less for like 4 to 5 hours on RDR while i went downstairs to entertain company, came back and went right to gaming and NOTHING, no fan, no heat, just nothing because he game is burnt to the HDD.

the old 360 would have melted had i tried that.

so there is your answers.

find a 360 with the jasper chip, they are superior consoles.

I doubt either would even start up. Theyd both instantly rrod and ylod (all those lights mean is general hardware failure) and missing your fan is a big hardware failure

How would we know that? It's not like we're going to take the fans out of our consoles and overheat them to answer your question :/

if you removed the internal fans less than 10 seconds before they blow up :P

People have done this before but with Intel and AMD CPU's...Blows a hole in the motherboard.
