which console will you be buying next gen

Next Gen, I will get the Wii U, PS4 and maybe xbox720 (though I'm pretty sure it won't be called that). Now for handhelds I'll be getting the Vita because I already have the 3DS and I love it.

So I guess then...all of them.

I'm gonna wait a full year after they've been released.Not getting one on release.

Probably the PS4. I was burned by Microsoft this generation. And Nintendo will probably disappoint. Not to say I wont give MS or Ninty or another chance, but the PS3 is my favorite console this gen... so I imagine it'll remain the same next gen. carljohnson3456

I feel the same. I think the Wii U will either be amazing, or a bit of a disappointment, but the Ps4 will be the safe bet.

PS4 + Vita + PC. The best. I might get a Wii U, but it's looking too gimmicky and Nintendo's online has always been absolute garbage.

Yep, you've obviously never had a decent gaming PC in your life. That would explain why you have such a poor view of what PC gaming is really like, you just copy what other consolites who also have no idea what its like to be a PC gamer say. Most people that go PC for gaming never look back at consoles but then, you would never know. Your consoles almost at the end of its lifecycle, get a job, save up and get yourself a PC, youll love it.

I upgrade my PC every 2 years, now PC is great for multiplatform games, but even 6 years after owning 360 and ps3, they still bringing out awesome exclusive such as RDR, Demon's soul, R3, killzone 2 etc. that completely toss everything PC has to offer to toilets(except metro last light and BF3 which will be much better on PC that's where I gonna play at.)

you obviously don't have a gaming pc then....the PC is already well into the consoles next gen graphics level, probably even further past into the next next gen of consoles. The level of graphics PC gaming runs at isn't something a weaksauce $5 graphics card can compete with

Being a casual gamer I'll be getting the PS4. The XBOX 360 breaks too much and has too many problems to deal with.

My PS2 still works so i'm goin with the new Playstation.

PS4 for sure first then the "Kinect U".

not only I have a gaming PC, but it's better and beyond than the one you have in your signature. I7 985 Extremely edition 4.33ghz(OCed) GTX480 1.5G(oced) and 9G DDR3 tri channel, and of course you don't own a single console so stop lying.

lol! current PC is anywhere near at next gen lvl? like you have a clue, mind you, every gen console only getting stronger and last longer, ps2 and xbox1 at launch were only 1/5 at what top of the line PC spec at time, however start from 360 and ps3 gen, either console slaughter PC graphic and hardware for a good 2 and a half years, I still remember using 7900GTSLI playing double agent with inferior graphic and performance, and PC's sports title never catch up on the graphic.

beside, graphic is far from the only one department future gaming will gets refined., portal ability, accessibility, community communication, innovative no controller control etc. which PC lacks all, that's why 80% PC gamers now using 360 controllers, as a pc gamer myself, nothing against PC gaming, just my predication on where gaming world will heading so a single platform guy like you could have some insight.

All of em. Give me all the best gaming platforms a addictive gamer can have! If you want to enjoy the best each system has to offer, with their epic first party games, then you have to get all three. That or risk missing out on some great games.

Depends what Nintendo, MS and Sony are offering. For me, it can lean to one of the 3. Very likely I may lean towards either MS or Sony, though. Nintendo needs to do something with 3rd party publishers to really win me back, like the SNES days.

If there's one thing I WILL NOT DO, is buying all 3 consoles.

1 console is more than enough, plus an iPhone 6 or 7.

Not too crazy about handhelds in general anymore. I also may go into PC gaming, so anything can happen.

What on earth are you all basing this decision on? We know next to nothing about the next generation consoles apart from the Wii U, and that is still shrouded in mystery.

I already own a 3DS (still waiting for some decent exclusives for it...)

I am definitely buying the Vita (got it preordered already, will probably be my main system for both multiplatform games and exclusive games).

My PC is still pretty good (got a nice one in 2009) which will be good for some upcoming PC exclusives (probably will have to play on medium graphics :P ).

As for the Wii U, PS4, and XBOX^3, those are definitely on a wait and see list. The Wii U has yet to show anything particularly interesting (features, games, or otherwise) and the next Sony and MS boxes are nothing but ??? right now so no opinions on those yet...

Wii U looks horrible, the next Xbox is more than likely going to be a lot more casual given what Microsoft is pushing right now with the 360, so the only safe bet for me is Sony's next console.

How am I suppose to know at this point? Two of them haven't been announced and they other has next to no info. Best to wait until they are all actually announced.soulitane

This. It is wayy to soon to be posting this thread. Bring this thread back in a year or so and then we'll talk.

PS4 on launch, Wii U when it has Zelda, Mario and Mario Kart available. MS would have to make Live free and get some first party devs with talent before i'd consider buying the next Xbox. I had all 3 this gen and in hindsight was a waste of money so next gen it will be 2 at most.

The next Xbox, if it has BC.

Some of the best games are not available on consoles either and furthermore consoles are also not entirely problem free. Ignorant comments left by ignorant people warrants an ignorant response, but at least I offered good advice as well.

If people want to lie about something they dont have experience with on a public forum then they should expect to be corrected on it. Whats that you say? How do I know he doesnt? - I dont, but judging by this partiular persons comments on this forum its pretty obvious to me, and since its ok for him to make ignorrant assumption then its ok for me to make an educated one.

It is easy, xbox 720 will have Halo, Fable, Forza and Gears and the best WRPGs (like Witcher) which are games that i would buy a xbox for, maybe a Remedy and Crytek game too and of course the amazing XBLA with the host of unique games

I will only consider a WiiU after a new Zelda, probably in 2015

And i have no specific game i would buy a PS4 for, so that would be my last choice
