Which controller do you think will work better for you? Xbox ONE or PS4?

I think most people tend to prefer whichever one they've used the most, for me, I've been using the DS for close to 20 years and love it, I do however use the Alphaline stick and trigger covers to improve it though.

For me the DS3 feels right, I like the stick and d-pad placement better. I'm not sure why people say they can't use it because they have big hands, I have bigger hands then most yet I have no problem with the DS, it might be because I've used the same shaped controller for close to two decades, but I've literally had gaming sessions that lasted well over 24 hours and never once put the controller down due to fatigue.

That being said I do think it's had it's time and aged well, but I'm more then ready for the DS4.

Well like most people I haven't had a chance to try out the DS4 or the Duke yet, but I never liked the stick placement on the Xbox controllers, as for the stick layout on the DS being incredibly dated, I don't even know what to say to that, the sticks are where the ends of my thumbs rest, I don't know what more you'd want in a stick layout. If you don't mind, elaborate on why you think the D-Pad and the left stick are better in an opposite position to the DS? I will be looking forward to trying both of them out though.

I love the xbox one controller and the triggers look even better than the 360 controller.

I think the Xbox One controller would be a better fit for me. I've never liked any of Sony's controllers (even though I've owned/played on every one of their consoles).

But since I'm purchasing a PS4 first, it's what I'll be stuck with for the time being.

I get what you mean with the DS sticks being so close together, it's never really bothered me, but I can see how it could bother some people. I haven't played on an Xbox controller in a long time, you got me wanting to play with one again to really evaluate both of them side by side.

I can also see how the d-pad may be a little quicker to access when it's below the left stick. For me the biggest reason I didn't care for it as much was my left thumb never felt right, it always felt like I had to hold my thumb in a forced position.

I should mention that when I play most of the time I play in a La-Z-Boy recliner so my elbows are high up on the armrests, that's the main reason the Xbox controllers left thumb placement feels forced to me, however if I'm playing with my elbows resting at my side it's not so bad.

In the end I think these two controllers are the best yet, and their both great controllers, imo it really just comes down to personal preference.

I'm sure once everyone gets hold of the new controllers the old ones will feel like riding in a Yugo after getting used to a Cadillac.  

until ps4 moves analog sticks up like xbox, i will always prefer their controller.  i also cant wait to see this new rumble feature in the triggers xbox has.

Looks like both are better versions of the previous ones and I'm especially happy with the Sony changes as that's the one that needed the biggest upgrade and the one I will probably be using next gen .

the controller is a big issue i never pre ordered the ps4 because i didn't like the look of the DS4 controller so that is why i opted for the xbox one.

I bet a lot of people bought CoD for 360 only because of the controller and I think that controller was the reason why CoD was much more popular on 360. Is not the only reason to buy a console but it is a factor that one takes into consideration. 

I myself am waiting to get it for my PC.

PS4 controller got the biggest improvement. It does look confortable, now! X1 controller, is the natural evolution of an already almost perfect controller design, so i'm sure it will be awesome aswell.

I like Xbox's triggers, always have, because they are more comfortable when playing games that require quick response from the triggers. With the DS controllers, holding both 1 and 2 triggers at the same fine feels awkward and slippery. That said I'm not really big on console FPS except exclusive FPS games like Halo or Killzone. How about the Wii U's pro controller? I think it looks nice but its analog sticks layout looks a little odd. I can see that they were going for the traditional vibe with the SNES d-pad and XYBA buttons layout whilst adding two analog sticks as a modernizing choice.

the xbox one controller is my preference for next gen.

I love how the Sony fan boys are defending and old shitty controller. The PS4 controller is my preference for Gen4. You'll love it too.
