As a PC gamer, the obvious choice is America..Blizzard + Valve, and if you want to say all of North America, then you can include Canadian Bioware.

Blizzard

Valve

Bioware

North America BY FAR the best for PC gaming right now.

Maybe for console but for PC it's not even close since Valve/Blizzard/Bioware are American and Canadian. That's pretty much all of the best games this gen on PC.

Yes, but it's well known that both games are much better on PC, especially the Valve games. Valve might as well be PC exclusive, their games are meant to be played on PC.

You´re forgetting Crytek(Crysis/Crysis Warhead),Creative Assembly(Empire and Napoleon:Total War),CD Projekt Red(The Witcher and the upcoming The Witcher 2),GSC Game World(STALKER series),Bohemia Interactive(Arma 2),Frictional games(Penumbra series,Amnesia: The Dark Descent),Action Forms(Cryostasis),Sports Interactive(FM 2011),Massive Entertainment(World in Conflict),SimBin(GTR,GTR-2,WTCC,Race Pro) and I could go all day showing you relevant PC games made in Europe, because this is just a short list. Europe has the biggest quantity of quality PC developers,North America only has a few.

North America has tons of other good PC titles as well, I only mentioned Blizzard/Valve/Bioware because those are the top 3 PC developers and they all happen to be NA. Those three companies are single handedly keeping PC gaming alive.

Sure, but Europe has even more, that´s not even a discussion. And for the developers you mentioned,Bioware is a multiplatform dev, they´re not really PC devs since Neverwinter Nights in 2001, Valve barely makes games these days and all of them are on consoles as well and Blizzard,as much as I like they´re games, they only have three active franchises and take huge amounts of time to release games. You are only focusing on extremely mainstream developers, and that´s not what the PC is all about at all.

I prefer Japan but at the end of day it's not about race or demographic, it's all about staff capability and commitment.

America is a reference to a continent, the country is the United States of America or United States for short

Diviniuz

Actually, when most people speak of "America," they are referring to the United States of America (a country), not a continent (in actuality, there is no single continent called "America" but two continents: North America and South America).

I am fully aware, I am saying the correct term is United States, its a common misconception to refer to USA as America, but its been so engraved in our culture that its not going to change. Using the word "american" is clearly associated with USA, but its a misuse of the word

How do you call a resident of the USA other then Ameircan? United Statearican? xD

Yes, Canada is in our Commonwealth. That doesn't make them any less a part of the Americas, continentally.

Even though i grew up with PC gaming i would say Japan has more "LEGACY" in the video game industry than both NA and Europe. Why? Mario, Nintendo, Sony, Family Computer, Playstation, SEGA, Sonic, Gameboy, DS, RE, FF, etc. US has MS and Atari but gone are the days of Atari and MS are newcomers to the industry. Most existing old franchises of today are from the Japanese. I wouldn't ignore the vast contributions of NA and EU but to compare them to Japan's, Japan's has left a bigger impact that changed it all. I would admit that the Japanese games are falling behind nowadays except for Nintendo's.

this poll, the thread and everything else dosent make any sense.

What is this based on?

Asking a question like this without giving any specific details, is like asking "what country is better" and since this is an mostly american site... we know whats going to happen.
