[QUOTE="khoofia_pika"][QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]Then where's PC?BoloTheGreatOf course they're consoles. They're just not HOME consoles. and I didn't list PC because it would be unfair to other consoles as the PC has been around for more than we could imagine. Since 2006 then, well i guess that's still pretty unfair :P Yep. Thats is. :P
EXCLUSIVES: Wii
MULTIPLATS: 360
OVERALL: 360
RPGs: DS
UPCOMING: PS3
FUTURE LIBRARY: PS3
i would probably vote pc in a few of them categories, if not all of them categories, but it's not a console.
Exclusives; PC - You really can't argue with STALKER; SoC, Dawn of war 2, Empire total war, The Witcher, Galactic Civ 2 (and all the awesome expansions), Sins, CoH, WiC, Crysis, Warhead, WoW, CnC3 etc etc.EXCLUSIVES: WII
MULTIPLATS: PC
OVERALL: PC
RPGs: PC
UPCOMING: PC
FUTURE LIBRARY: PCwehertn
@ BoloTheGreat,
You cant list PC!!! Its not a console! It has been around for more than 10 years! That would just be unfair to all other consoles.
On retail games I'd say the 360 (though the PS3 is close behind).
On downloadable games the Wii blows them all away with Virtual Console (Some of the greatest games in history are on there).
On original downloadable games I'd say the PS3 because PSN has truly unique and ground-breaking games on there (Flower, Pixeljunk Games, Warhawk, Siren, Noby Noby Boy, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty)
It's a console, wether you like it or not ;)@ BoloTheGreat,

This gen, we're comparing PC games that were released after 2005 (when this gen started) and all of those games TRUMP anything on consoles.@ BoloTheGreat,

I felt so compelled to swear in this post, but the mods will be on my back so I'm going to hold it back, lol. I hate when people make huge lists of exclusives comparing consoles like it's a huge factor. It's like all fanboys and people with no common sense do this and it's so annoying. I think it's a poor way of showing off what a console truely has to offer. In additon it's extremely stupid and almost completely irrelevant if your goal is to look for the most enjoyable and best games.
Look, I understand that doing the whole numbers thing makes a console look like it has more to offer, but does it really? I'm going to talk about the 360 because this console clearly has more exclusive games. Xbox 360 owners (I'm one myself), I know for a fact that there are better FPS's than Perfect Dark Zero. There is no denying that. So, if someone wanted to buy an Xbox 360 today and they wanted the best of the best: why the heck would they want to buy Perfect Dark Zero? There are clearly games superior on all levels in single player and multiplayer AND replayability for Xbox 360.
Let's not stop there. Can anyone explain to me why the hellthey would want to buy Ninja Blade, if there is a higher quality game like Ninja Gaiden 2. Don't give me this "the more games the better" nonsense. With the higher quality games that come out these days, you get so much replay value out of them. Also, once you play a high quality title, it's just not fun to play a title that's not up to par. Usually the people I know have a variety of high quality titles that are typically the same ones rather than random AAE's.
You guys need to understand that people buy 360s usually go for the Halos and Gears, not these other games. It's about quality more than anything. If there are two games for similar genres, I don't see why it's such a big advantage to have like 4-5 different games for that same genre when 1-2 stand out and are clearly the ones worth playing. There is certainly variety between FPSs, but not enough to justify picking simply good shooters when there are great ones.
Do you see now why it can dumb to compare the consoles by number of exclusives? Infact, a lot of the time multiplatforms generally end up being better games than the exclusives (more so with the Xbox 360). I just see the exclusive numbers game as such a lame argument. You buy a console primarily for the quality of games (multiplatform/exclusives) it has to offer and your preference of franchise games.
a) Exclusives - Xbox 360
b) Multiplats - Xbox 360
c) Overall - Xbox 360
d) RPGs - Xbox 360
e) Upcoming - Xbox 360 / Ps3
f) Which console will have the best library in the near future - Xbox 360
I completely agree with you. Quantity doesn't matter as much as quality. Fanboys need to get that point clear. But if someone starts saying that a console's library doesn't have any games, then you HAVE to create a list. Thats the only way to shut people up. A sie by side comparision. but I still think that quality is more important than quantity.I felt so compelled to swear in this post, but the mods will be on my back so I'm going to hold it back, lol. This generation, we have had five great console- The DS, PSP, Wii, X360 and the PS3. All of them have had great libraries so far. Which one do you think has the best libary of-
a) Exclusives
b) Multiplats
c) Overall
d) RPGs
e) Upcoming
f) Which console will have the best library in the near future?
khoofia_pika
a) PS3. it has the highest rated and best looking exclusives this gen.
b) 360. most multiplats look better on 360.
c) although this is all opinion, i'll say PS3.
d) probably 360 or DS.
e) PS3. its upcoming games are so awesome - uncharted 2/God of War 3/GT5 = instant win for me.
f) basically the same question isnt it?
Obviously the 360. The DS and PSP are handhelds.foxhound_foxNo. They're consoles. They're just not HOME consoles.

How is the DS trying to emulate consoles? That's what the PSP is doing. Call me when there's a 3D Zelda game on the DS, or a port of a Wii game on there that uses an awkward control scheme that is incompatible with the handheld.

The DS can be called an all new type of consoles- the PSP is trying to emulate the consoles, not the DS! And no consoles are trying to emulate the PC, and definitely not the Wii... looks like you're a... PC fanboy.
Because we dont want console experiences when playing on a handheld system. We want handheld experiences. That is what the DS delivers.
I will, because its reality. Handheld experiences are not the same as console experiences... and neither the PSP or DS offer proper console experiences.foxhound_fox

How about including PC in the choices for the first time in SW history, and say "which current gen system"? Jeez, NOBODY ever even considers the system that has the most players on it... In terms of the credibility, this poll is just about as worthless as asking kids if they go to school while removing the "yes" option.
But PC's don't really have Gens like Consoles theirs upgrades in hardware but PC's can always be updated multiple times throughout a gen while Consoles usually have the same hardware but they have minor changes and Consoles actually have Gens since a gen is a leap from the one console to its successor in the same line of hardware. How about including PC in the choices for the first time in SW history, and say "which current gen system"?
