Which exclusives has the best AI?

@Pikminmaniac: Yup thats true TLOU AI was actually good when it works the way its supposed to but sometimes a lot of stupid things happen like the videos which other people posted some of them actually happened to me lol so I don't know maybe its just a glitch or something else.

@GoldenElementXL: LMAO that is funny shit. I like the game and all, but some of the AI is pretty bad.

I'm cracking up at the people posting TLOU like the narrator in the videos described the guy stepping over 2 freshly killed friends only to be killed himself in the videos by @retsaprezit

no such thing as good ai nowdays, only graphics.

I've heard it is great. I still haven't played the "drivatar" stuff.

From my experience I'll say Halo, and agree with those mentioning FEAR. I did not care for FEAR as a game--I enjoyed those little challenge sections far more, but the ai was pretty good.

Halo is the only series i've played that somewhat competently deals with two human players at the same time. This was even in Halo 2--impressive given its age.

I think you got to go with Halo on that one. All the Halo games have had some of the best AI you'll see in a game. They way they communicate, flank, duck and doge your gunfire and their ability to close in on you if you make one mistake is the best you can find in a single player game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat.

I agree with Halo. Not only is it challenging, it's believable, which I love. A squad of grunts led by an Elite will charge at you all piss and vinegar, but if you kill the Elite, their morale breaks and they scatter. Stuff like that is awesome, and sadly rare in games.

Any gam's AI is probably good when it works the way it's suppose to, I don't think anyone designs a game with bad AI in mind, it's just that Naughty Dog prioritizes graphics, presentations, set pieces and smoke and mirrors to hide their lack of substance, hence why TLOU AI is a complete embarrassment.

For you or anyone else who talks about TLOU AI in a positive light, back it up, show some evidence showing this amazing AI.

Oh right, you can't, because TLOU amazing AI only exist in your mind. Here in the real world it's abysmal and there are literally dozens of examples showing how bad it is and absolutely no examples of it being good or even semi competent.

Nah, the AI in that game is not great it cheats quite a lot. I remember playing it and running around at night not being able to see anything, then hear ricocheting then boom headshot... reload the game multiple times to find some guy shooting at me from half a mile away with a pistol. Game had so many bugs like that :(.

I'd agree with the lack of substance for the Uncharted series, but the Last of Us' gameplay actually has quite a bit of substance and requires the player to really think about his situations. That's why I enjoyed the game so much.

Splinter Cell Blacklist had some pretty crazy AI. Not an exclusive, but still they were crazy smart. They'd notice if a guard was missing for too long, if a door was opened, if a gun was on the floor. They had crazy hearing and their sight was great (if not perfectly realistic to allow for some wiggle room).

Seriously, go check out that game if you want to see sharp AI. I've yet to run into a game with better AI since it launched.

People making fun of TLOU AI don't know what they're talking about. every game has a bug or glitch and TLOU is no different.

Play it on Survivor or even grounded to understand the risk of even taking on even one enemy. less supply, more AI awareness especially from infected. it's like what the game is meant to be when played on survivor. hope the weird behavior and other bugs are fixed in TLOU 2. yes it has it's stupid moments like any game.

@a-new-guardian: You shouldn't need to jack up the difficulty for the AI to not be bad. In general, they just have terrible AI, specifically for stealth. I just came off of playing Blacklist and Deus Ex so the AI in TLOU was pretty poor by direct comparison. It has stupid moments, all games do, but for the most part the AI coding is simplistic and sub average.

You do realize Ellie is A.I. as well? Her running right in front of a enemy represents bad A.I. in itself. ND could of hid this by giving the player the option to command Ellie. With that said, most games have terrible A.I. now. TLOU has a good story and is memorable, but to say it has great A.I. is laughable.

On topic: F.E.A.R. is the last game I played with outstanding A.I., though it's not exclusive.
