Lame! ODST doesn't not warrant a buy, only a rental, it only has a few new weapons, but a much better looking SP. The first one's SP was disappointing so they'll be looking to improve on that. An improvement on MP will also be nice but I doubt there will be much difference, still, it's my favourite to win. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

The best FPS series since Half-Life², well, the only one without linearity, checkpoint saving, health regeneration and all those **** that are ruining the genre.

The only two I care about is Call of Pripyat and Crysis 2. Crysis 2 will probably be great, but it's gonna take a lot for GSC to convince me that this STALKER will be the real deal.

I was lookin forward to duke nukem forever untill i saw the footage they added the stupid ass points system like call of duty 4. LOL xp when u kill someone they ruined duke, doom4 is probley only fps i really want.

Gotta go with Halo 3: ODST. I wil probabl replay that campaign a good four or five times like I did with all the other Halo games. Plus I'll do all sorts of coop goodness.

After that its Modern Warfare 2 but I am renting that. And I'm not too sure about Borderlands yet; I suppose I'll wait for reviews.

I cant believe they ruined duke nukem forever like that adding stupid ass ranking system like call of duty 4. u know how bad that pisses me off when you kill someone and some letters come up on screen 5 XP so and so. it's annoying dude it takes away from the experience doesnt even feel like a real shooter then. bunch of freaking dumbasses. doom4 though only true fps coming out screw the imitators

sometimes dev's will make something cool in a fps that actually does make the gameplay better. but dev's these days just rip every crap that makes games worse off other developers I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY PUTTING A POINT/RANKING SYSTEM IN DUKE NUKEM. STATS=SKILLS RANK=NO SKILLS

Fps genre is dead though, it's all pick up and play average shooters nothing sets the shooters apart. doom4 is about only true shooter coming.

halo, killzone,call of duty,crysis,stalker,battlefield those are all standard average generic shooters your character all moves the same. in quake ur character movement is different from those games, it's not a standard shooter. they adapted quake's movement to doom3 if doom4 doesnt have quake's movement like doom 3 did then that's just a average cookie cutter shooter now.

100% truth^ all fps now=generic they all control the same movement wise. that isnt same for quake though.

fps genre didnt used to be for noobs, the shooters today are made for sucky players. Aim assist is proof fps are for noobs now, but also taking out learning curve of character movement. LOOK they even noobified unreal tournament 3 on xbox360/ps3 the game automatically dodge jumps for you. on unreal championship 1# on xbox you had to double tap the d-pad to dodge jump. just like pc took some practice. on ut3 LOL dodge jumping requires no practice. GODDAMN THE FPS GENRE SUCKS NOW

I think BF1943 is better. At least on that you can fly, but even that game got boring very quickly for me

Agreed, 1943 got boring because of only one game mode. But BC2 will also have flying, with Black Hawk Helicopters (!!!!), and the classic attack choppers from the first, and revamped flying controls for easier flying (controls from the first were awful). It will also have 4 game modes. One being the classic BF Conquest, the second being Rush as a reiteration of Gold Rush form the first (but gold doesn't apply to this one), and two more unannounced ones. BF always makes addicting game modes. Gold Rush from the first was sooo much fun!

I've confined my FPS budge to two franchises: Resistance and Killzone. Therefore, I'll be looking forward to KZ3 and R3.

Rage looks interesting, but it looks like it may be going for a bastardized RPG feel more than an FPS one.
