Which FPS for 2009 will sell and score more KZ2 or Halo: Odst?

I did not put a poll that way to stop people from just posting but not explaining their answer.

So for PS3 and the 360 the two biggest FPS games of the year are KZ2 and Halo" Odst. So which do you think will sell better? Which do you think will score better judging from developer and past history?

There has been 3 Halo games from bungie and ever one of them has been AAA. Also Halo is know as the biggest online multilpayer online game for consoles. Halo 3 has better 1st day sales then any entertainment event every. Includining any moving( such as Harry Potter and Spider Man)

KZ2 developers have never scored above "A" yet for a console. The first KZ2 was considered a flop. KZ2 does have very good graphics.

The reason for this post it I have seen a few times now people acting like KZ2 will be the best selling game this gen. I do not think it will be but just wondering what everyone though.

Remember this last Christmas Resistance 2 and Gears went at it during the busing time of the year and R2 fell far short compared to Gears 2 in sales. Score wise they were the same.

Also Halo 3 has sold more then twice what PS3's best selling game ( MGS3) did do.

Nope, I'm sure the PS3 fans who hyped LBP were honestly looking forward to it. I don't know why I brought it up really, maybe because both games have platforming elements. And seeing as it's made by one of MS's very few 1st party developers, I thought they would have wanted it to sell well.

As for the topic, I think KZ 2 will score better because it's a full game and has had more time put into it.

For the people saying KZ2 will score better. Can you explain why? For example Halo's online was great with forge and other reasons. What does KZ2 bring that will top what Halo does?rybe1025

And the topic, Halo: Odst will sell more because it has the world "Halo" in it, but Killzone 2 will be better.

Killzone wont c the light of day if sony doesnt market it well! and halo will sell more regardless because it is halo! it's an automatic win!

Bundled or not, it will not sell more.

TBH, ODST, Halo has a huge fallowing and fanbase of AAA games, KZ2 has one 6.4(?) Game and a very small fallowing/fanbase.

Of course the fanbase is bigger this time around with KZ2, but Halo ODST will kill it in sales, in reviews, wait and see.

If you say KZ2, you are clearly mistaken.

In order for KZ2 to sell well, it needs a fanbase. And you KNOW that since KZ1 was one of the biggest flops ever, either no one played it or people played it but sold it quickly, so i dont think many people will be too hyped for the release of KZ2.

And we all know that anything made by Bungie will sell millions in its first week, and will most likely score AAA as well.

GTA4 was on two major consoles... And GTA4 on the 360 alone didnt come anywhere close to the sales of Halo 3

ODST will sell better and most likely be better. Halo 3 doesn't have the 1st day sales record by the way, if I'm not mistaken it's a WoW game. Mongo-Boss

nah. WotLK is the fastest selling PC game ever but GTAIV is the fastest selling entertainment product ever (Halo 3 before it and Spider-Man 3 before that).

Not when they are made by developers with a fanbase. No one cares about Guerrilla. All they made were huge flops so far besides a PSP game

But thats not saying much since GTA4 was on two consoles launched worldwide and it still struggled to beat Halo 3's stats.

Last time i checked LBP sold around 300k in its first month. Then sales started to pick up after people played it at friend's houses/rented. Im just saying that KZ2 wont sell 2.5 million copies in its first day. People are most likely in the "wait and see" category regarding this game

KZ2 will score well, well 9.0 at least, probably the same as ODST. KZ2 will be out longer so it will sell more, ODST comes out fall 09.EuropeGangsta

It's not a big deal, really. If Killzone 2 is flourishing, it may sell three or four million copies in 2009, but for the reason that Halo 3 showed people that games are capable of selling nearly four million in the first few days, its expansion may smoothly exceed Killzone 2 in sales, regardless of the release dates.

Halo will probably sell better and be better, but you have to understand, it's essentially an expansion to halo 3 and includes a new (very different) campaign, new skulls, new multiplayer maps, and all that good stuff. It's selling for $30ish. So it depends how they want to score it.

Killzone 2 is its own game, has the best graphics available, but haven't we learned that no matter how good a game looks before release, it's just not going to be as good as halo? This is exactly what we concluded with Killzone 1. Should be a great game though.
