Halo3 odst is not a full game so its not a fair comparation.
Halo3 odst will have better gameplay and KZ2 better graphics. As simple as this

[QUOTE="sasapac"]killzone 2 will score better (graphics, online 64 players, gameplay and they making it 3 years) but odst will probably sell better because of the nameII_Seraphim_III thought it was 34 (or was it 36?) players online?
sorry i was wrong the psw mag of december says that kz2 will support 32 players in standard game mobes (players will split into squads of 4) and 64 players when players playing in clans
F.E.A.R 2 has FPSOTY written all over it.Ding, Ding, Ding. We have a winner folks. But this will be a great year for some 'odd' FPS's. Anyway on topic, Killzone IMO will score between 8.5-9.5 (If it hits AAAA then I will go crazy, and consider Gamespot's opinion review wise null.). It's kinda of an unknown with Halo 3: ODST since we have no gameplay of it yet to judge it by. But IDK, I was told that some store's were filling up their pre-order max with Killzone 2. I think Killzone 2 will sell better then Resistance 2, but Halo might crush them both. Though IDK, how is Halo War's going to sell since it's an RTS? How hard is Microsoft going to push ODST in the public eye (Probably hellishly A LOT!), and are people going to want a expansion pack? Or are they just figuring "Hey, guess I'll just wait 'till Halo 4." Lots of unknowns here, can't judge.jaisimar_chelse
ODST is just an expansion. I'm not expecting more than an 8.0 for it.Ninja-Hippo
What game does it expand? :|

umm....Halo 3That's a bit of a loose claim since you don't play as MC.

But you need Halo 3 to play ODST no? Im pretty sure its a standalone expansion. But even without MC, i dont see how this could be called anything else. Its Halo 3, with the Halo engine and exact same Halo 3 multiplayer. But it comes with extras and a new campaign.killzone 2 is better i got halo 3 sucks and this new version sucks aswell

YEA! sure:roll: ! On topic, i love halo! halo:ce is my second best game ever! but this is just an expansion pack lasting around 3-5 hours! I don't think it's going to be AAA just because it's so short!
i also hate it that cows keep saying halo was nothing special! halo:ce is considered ONE of the best FPS ever! and i can predict cows will make alot of fuzz about killzone 2 scoring more then a halo game, although it's just an expansion

What if ODST scores more than KZ2?? Interesting....Halo ODST easily. It's Halo...every teen and underage kid is going to want to play it. Though i don't think it's as popular as it was during the early Halo days. Puckhog04More so. Just don't seem it as a new Major Halo game has not been announced.
GG knows how to make good games.
Yes, they failed pretty bad with KZ... but then again a successful FPS on PS2 was almost non-existent (timesplitters, maybe).
Liberation on PSP was a pretty good game though... it scored AA, but it's pretty hard to be both AAA and a PSP game.
The game is called Halo 3: ODST - they even kept the 3 in the title. It's obviously an expansion, heck it says so clearly on bnet. Just because you dont play as the chief doesnt mean it's a whole new game. You play as psycho in Crysis Warhead, and that was very much an expansion pack. That's a bit of a loose claim since you don't play as MC.

killzone 2 will score better (graphics, online 64 players, gameplay and they making it 3 years) but odst will probably sell better because of the namesasapacIt has 64p online? Series?
Gamespot doesn't seem to like expansions/add-ons/not-full-games [to other things]. Even if they are cheaper... (See 'Quest for Booty' and GT5P)Halo will probably sell better and be better, but you have to understand, it's essentially an expansion to halo 3 and includes a new (very different) campaign, new skulls, new multiplayer maps, and all that good stuff. It's selling for $30ish. So it depends how they want to score it.
Killzone 2 is its own game, has the best graphics available, but haven't we learned that no matter how good a game looks before release, it's just not going to be as good as halo? This is exactly what we concluded with Killzone 1. Should be a great game though.

[QUOTE="rybe1025"]The first KZ2 was considered a flop.
PokerPirate
Wait... theres ANOTHER KZ2???
lmao I stopped reading after thatHalo 3: ODST will sell more because it's an expansion to a game that has sold about three times as much as I see Killzone 2 ever selling. It's popularity alone will probably put it in a comfortable lead in sales. In short, Halo 3: ODST's going to sell more because it's going to be a lot cheaper than a standard retail game, and technically, it isn't even going to be a fullgame.
If Killzone 2 lives up to all it's hype, then it will score better without a doubt. The reasons stated above also support my theory that it'll score higher.
[QUOTE="rybe1025"]For the people saying KZ2 will score better. Can you explain why? For example Halo's online was great with forge and other reasons. What does KZ2 bring that will top what Halo does?joopyme
The question is: What does ODST bring that will top what Halo 3 does?
I read that it's going to have stealth and open world gameplay, stealth makes sense because your not playing as MC and you don't have much armor.Halo 3 is still, if not the most, online palyed XBOX Live game there is. Halo ODST is just going to add on and build upon a campaign and multiplayer that have already been proven to be good, so it's pretty much impossible for the game to flop if they stick to just adding on a side campaign and what not. Halo ODST will sell better, and for those complaining that it's just an expansion...When PC games get expansions everyone looks forward to it...but because Halo 3 is getting an expansion all the PS3 fanboys like to hate on the game just because it's not going to be an actual full game. Regardless, Halo ODST will sell better than KillZone 2 no matter what. I'm not saying Killzone 2 wont sell, but it wont outsell an official Bungie Halo titled game, expansion, add-on, whatever you wish to call it.
To answer the posts question, I'm not sure if any other FPS game will outsell KZ2 or any Halo title coming out this year. I take it Bungie isn't going to release the official new Halo game, Halo Chronicles or whatver it's going to be called since they're already going to release ODST, and Halo Wars.
[QUOTE="Iheartrpgsalot"]Gamespot doesn't seem to like expansions/add-ons/not-full-games [to other things]. Even if they are cheaper... (See 'Quest for Booty' and GT5P)The Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion got good reviews (in the fans eyes, it was better than regular Oblivion)Halo will probably sell better and be better, but you have to understand, it's essentially an expansion to halo 3 and includes a new (very different) campaign, new skulls, new multiplayer maps, and all that good stuff. It's selling for $30ish. So it depends how they want to score it.
