Which FPS single player campaigns can compete with Bioshock 2?!

Bioshock 1 is good, Bioshock 2 isn't.

Chonicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is one of the greateast games ever made, it would be a SIN to avoid it. Bioshock is like a microscopic piece of dust on Riddick's boots.

I wouldn't say it's better than B1, but other than the sequel itself being completely unnecessary -- I totally agree that it was still very much enjoyable. It was in no way a bad game(still very good actually)nor a terrible prequel/sequel overall. It usually comes across as nothing more than over exaggerated criticism when people do talk bad about it IMO.

Wait, does this mean you have yet to play B1? lol If so, you thought B2 was good, wait until you play that one. = )

B1 was incredible, B2 was a significant step down.

The story was really meh but I think the gameplay and the whole package was great. Bioshock Infinite should fill that void when it comes out, since the main team led by Ken Levine is making it.

1st game i picked up. I thought "Locopatho said it was as good as Metroid Prime" so thought for £5 i'd give it a crack. Though theyre both a differant kettles of fish.

Well I have only played a good amount of 1 and none of 2, and I would say there are quite a few better campaigns. Goldeneye 64, Perfect Dark 64, Timesplitters Series, Metroid Prime series (big time), and tons more.

Its kinda weird as i just picked up the 1st game which took my fancy which was bioshock 2. I never did any research on the game to know anything about it and would playing #1 then moving to sequel afterwards. Kinda weird topic as im not a big FPS fan.

COD 4 has one of the best FPS campaigns of all time, pound for pound quality.

Most of the campaigns on console games have been horrible this gen.

I think Crysis 2 might actually be the best one, but I played that on PC, so I could have had a different experience. EDIT: Either that or Half Life 2.

Otherwise, nothing really compares to Crysis, Stalker series, Cryostasis, Metro 2033, etc.

Crysis 2 was simliar on consoles to PC so it was fine. Stalker games are great, Cryostasis was intriguing, Metro 2033 was meh.

I was gonna say Crysis, but since you want console games I would suggest Portal 2 (it is technically an FPS)

The Orangebox (more specifcally Half Life 2 and the episodes)

You might also like Portal 2. It isnt technically an FPS, its more a first person adventure, but still AMAZING

fear 1 isnt bad either

Also Prey 2 looks awesome, but thats a couple years off.

It is essentially a puzzle platformer in first person. There's no real shooting, so it shares more in common with Metroid than, say, Crysis.

Portal is still entirely different from anything else on the market though, and it's definitely worth playing if you like the slower paced exploration/puzzle solving of Metroid.

Its very sad that this hasnt been said yet....Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood!!!!! Great game and so underrated its not even funny. Fear 2 as well...tho hated by many for reasons i dont quite understand (sure it didnt have the same impact as the orginal but its still a great game with very fun gun fights) Chronicles of Riddick is just amazing as well...better than almost every game this gen imo! Half life 2 and the episodes are fantastic as well! And the orginal Crysis! The lack of great and innovative fps single player campaigns nowadays saddens me :( When is the last time one was released?

Fallout 3/NW is Bioshock with more RPG elements and open world. But yea, no FPS's this gen beat the solo campaign of Bioshock.silversix_

FPS campaigns sucked this gen except for COD4, HL2 Episode 3, and of course Bioshock
