Sony and Nintendo in their own ways. Honorable mention goes to SEGA.

Well, it has to be Sony or Nintendo. Depends what for. Either way, both have way better first parties compared to Microsoft.

I have an Xbox 360 and honestly, I wish I went with the PS3. It is way better in all aspects...except no cross-game chat, that's a big minus. Oh and I heard that downloading patches takes a huge amount of time. That doesn't make sense. Anyways, yeah I wish I went with the PS3. Free online (actually that's normal. Xbox is the only place where you will have to pay monthly to play games online, with the exception of WoW and all that), Blueray... My Xbox has had the RROD plenty of times. Only once I had to send it in. Then weeks later I received an E68 error message. I fixed it though :D. And what about the exclusive titles Xbox has been having recently? I heard Crackdown 2 was a bust and Alan Wake only lasted 10 hours of gameplay, with zero replay value. So much for developing it for 6 years. I heard Haze for the PS3 was pretty bad though.

Worst, argument, ever. 99% of nintendos library is shovelware, motion controls suck, period. Oh wait, your last argument killed mine, I simply can't argue with the huge amount of evidence and detailed descriptions that last statement showed....

MS is good but it's at the bottom, so it's between Sony and Nintendo. This is easy for me, i didn't play any nintendo game for like 8-10 years now. i would be pick Sony. Nintendo games aren't for me, they are still great based on people's reaction.

Oh look, it's the 'buh buh Nintendo systems arent teh HDz so they have different standard!' argument. A game like Super Mario Galaxy 2 has been called the most perfect game ever released by Kevin Van Ord and Tom McShea. Better than, you know, all PS3 and Xbox 360 games. If anything, I'd say standards are HIGHER on Nintendo systems than on others, which is why most games score so low.

Nintendo does make some okay games. Back in the Super Nintendo and N64 days the games had great replay value. Now with the Wii...well, you there was a line graph of how much I play the Wii throughout the year, it would look like a horrible attempt at Line Rider. I don't play the Wii's games at a constant rate at all. The last time I put in Wii Fitness to play some skiing with my brother, it said something like "Last log in 215 days ago. Did you meet your goal of gaining 2lbs yet?" They just aren't fun enough to play often. They're okay games though. Other console games (360 and PS3) are much more fun to play over time though.

If you're referring to the Wii, then edit your post in question. It makes it sound like you're saying Nintendo produced games are shovelware, and if that's what you're insinuating, then just stop.
And I see you haven't responded to my other questions.
And whereas I personally wouldn't argue the Wii having a better library than the HD consoles, there are a lot of people who would find Wii games better than anything the HD twns have to offer, so if you're trying to state, as a fact, that the PS3 and the 360 have better games than the Wii, then just stop.

[QUOTE="gamebreakerz__"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] 1. Which one of those qualify as shovelware? Please elaborate. 2. Are we talking about console libraries now? You essentially said all of Nintendo games are shovelware. That reads as the games that Nintendo produces are shovelware. If you meant Nintendo consoles, you should have been clearer, and you should edit your post now. If you meant the company, then man, I have no idea what I should say to you. 3. Yeah, how many of those 'shovelware' have actually been made by Nintendo? (Here's a hint: you might not need any fingers to count).charizard1605

The thread title is 'console developer, not game developer so I was refering to the console in general, and if your trying to argue that the Wii has better games then PS360 then just stop.

PS3 does indeed have more AAAA/AAA/AA titles than the Wii. Nintendo did made more shovelwares than both Sony/MS (atm anyways)

Good, keep at it. Not many would agree with you. And I stand by what I said. If you can make ridiculous claims about Nintendo having lower standards, I can make equally ridiculous claims about Nintendo having HIGHER standards.

This generation Nintendo has been pretty uneven with their games.

You have everything from SMG2 to Wii music (which is crap).

We all know that Nintendo can push their games to incredible high levels. That is why so many of their games have been disappointments this generation.

I was talking about the DS, so in your view, Nintendogs > ME2, GOW3 ? Oh and Alice in Wonderland = FF13, Heavy Rain and Alan Wake?

Really, so now we're gonna compare games across genres? How do you compare a pet simulator and an RPG or an action adventure? Oh that's right: YOU DON'T. Nintendogs didn't score so high because it was on the DS. If the same game were on the PS3 or the Wii, then it would score equally high, BECAUSE THE GAME IS A LANDMARK OF ITS GENRE. It's about genres, and not systems, and the sooner System Wars understands, the better.

I would agree the Wii series games might not appeal to everybody (although the Wii Sports games are pretty good). But apart from those, which Nintendo games failed to live up to what we expect of them? Of course, I recognize that varying people might have varying opinions and varying expectations, so your answer might not be the same as mine.

Or maybe just an extremely GOOD action adventure... That ever occur to you? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it appeals to no one. Stop being narrow minded.

Again, I ask: what shovelware did Nintendo make? Quite a few people seem to allege that Nintendo makes shovelware, but when you ask them that, they either refuse to answer, or go ahead and sig a part of your post entirely out of context.

I can think of Wii music and Wii play.

Good. And they're outnumbered by how many Nintendo games that are NOT shovelware?

First off, GS don't even commit good reviewers to the DS, they have randoms. GTA CTW got a 9.5 on the DS and PSP, I played it and it's rubbish, if a console game gets a 9.5 it's usually GOTY or almost GOTY, why will a handheld game never get GOTY? Because there are different standards.
