I guess Uncharted 3 but for the record, I believe they both practically have an equal chance. I'm giving UC3 the edge because Tom McShea can be a hard-ass to Wii games.

Zelda is amazing. They didn't overrate Twilight Princess, and they won't overrate SS. If it gets a 10 it will have deserved it :). Uncharted 3 and Skyward Sword are two of my most hyped games at the moment.
Neither game has a chance, but I think SS will have a better shot at a 10 than U3.
By the way, I have an internet.

If GTA IV and Super Mario Galaxy 2 can get a 10, both of these games can definitely get a 10.
Uncharted is simply the superior series. Zelda can't match UC's cinematic experience.IronBassMust... resist... :P

I cannot stand this lol. Do people realize that gaming has been getting more and more cinematic every year? Uncharted does this well. I can understand if people dont like all the scenes of MGS4 (I love the game), but Uncharted has amazing gameplay that is enhanced by its cinematic feel. Guess what? Super Metroid was more cinematic than Metroid. And the Prime series was even more cinematic...My gosh the insanity!

Twilight Princess got the score it deserved IMO. I would have given it a 9.0, but I'm glad GS didn't fall for the hype in that one. The very fact that Gertsmann was fired for that incident shows how overhyped Zelda can be. It's a great series, but you can't really deny that it is a little overrated. And for the record, Uncharted is also overrated. U2 was a 9.0 game, not 9.5. That said, Uncharted is my favorite series this gen :P[QUOTE="NaveedLife"][QUOTE="Cheesehead9099"]

I predict Skyward Sword being the underdog this year. We know UC3 is gonna be great, but GS is gonna find something to give it a 9.0. Still, none will come close to 10 status as BF3
I suppose that it is, but Zelda still hasn't changed much over the years. And judging by your sig, I'm thinking you're a little biased. Playing the opinion card always works, but it simply defeats the purpose of discussion because you can discredit anyone's argument by saying 'opinion'. You made no argument. "All I know is that Zelda has become vastly overrated in the past few years. The games are NOT as good as they used to be, and the formula is very stale at this point." That is your opinion nothing to discuss.[QUOTE="Cheesehead9099"]
[QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"] Nah that's just your opinion. SaltyMeatballs
"I suppose that it is, but Zelda still hasn't changed much over the years."
Looks like your hyping Uncharted. Uncharted 2 brought nothing new (from what I have heard I have not played it) and is one of the highest rated games this gen. With bi-annual releases you should get ready to be disappointed with the franchise if you think Zelda is over rated.
Zelda franchise is unique, and we are lucky to get 2 a generation. Wii will be getting its first this year, it looks great, and will be a nice change for the franchise. Nintendo is addressing a lot I suggest you check some interviews. Uncharted is just better than the sum of it's parts.
I don't expect Uncharted to get AAAA status at all. Let me rephrase what I said about U3. I think that Uncharted will end up deserving it more if both of the games get 10/10. That's what I meant. Yeah that's my opinion. The reason Uncharted hasn't changed much is because it's still very early in it's life. There have only been 2 Uncharted games, while ther have been countless Zelda games. I'm not denying that Zelda is awesome (Hell, OoT is my personal favorite GOAT (Game of All Time :P)), but the formula is starting to get dated and they need to take some huge risks and shake up the formula if they want to keep it fresh. Maybe add voice acting.Twilight Princess got the score it deserved IMO. I would have given it a 9.0, but I'm glad GS didn't fall for the hype in that one. Sorry, got that wrong, yeah he was fired for Kane and Lynch. There was still a huge uproar about the score here though, so my point still sort of stands.SS still has a chance to get AAAA, but if they don't make any more changes to the game than they have in previous entries, then I probably won't agree with the score unless they pull a SMG2.
And I can't wait for BF3 either :D

See, I give these games impulse ratings right after I finish them. It wasn't until a few months after U2 came out and I was done with it did I start to see some of the flaws of U2. I also gave inFamous 1 a 9.5 in my review, but I've later revised my score to an 8.0 :P As you can see, I can be pretty impulsive :P. Twilight Princess - being wolf and the Twilight Realm Skyward Sword - You are now living in sky As for Uncharted: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - average pew-pew Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - satisfying pew-pew but with less attractive Australian girl and less puzzles (and not really that great either) Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - probably more or less same pew-pew, but now with an old woman (and probably less puzzles) And in case you haven't noticed, the topic is comparing Zelda SS and Uncharted 3. Of course we are talking about Uncharted 3. ps. Gertsman wasn't fire for Zelda, it was with Kane and Lynch.

Plus Uncharted series has just begun. If Sony decides to continue this series and in 5 years they haven't done anything big, then I will be pissed. But this is just the third game, and the MP looks vastly improved.
Also, I don't see how you can think that U1 to U2 wasn't a massive jump in quality.

Well, to be fair, the changes in the Metroid Prime series are largely considered positive ones.True, BUT those were the change to 3D. Just as Ocarina of Time and Mario 64 were from their 2D counterparts. THEN they changed it to Other M, which was fun, but the formula is downright broken and makes you wish you were playing Prime or Super.

What I'm trying to say is that after over a decade, they should try and take a risk, like Mario has with Galaxy and the crazy platforming. I can see many things making Zelda a terrible game, but I have more than enough faith in the Zelda team to keep it fun. Simply just my own opinion I guess. Deus Ex Human Revolution says hello 8)
But if my choices are strictly limited to these two then SS. Uncharted is seriously overrated. Don't get me wrong UC is a great franchise but it's not GOTY. If anyone hasn't been paying attention to the updates, UC3's MP has been CODified. Perks that allow you to spawn with the last power weapon that killed you? Gun customization with scopes, sights and noobtubes? Going on a kill-streak makes the next time you die spawn with a power weapon? Yeah, UC3 will be that blockbuster thrill ride that people will want to play for just a few days or a week or so but Skyward Sword will be a lot more in-depth and hold more value in the long run.

You mean to tell me UC3 would get the presitgious 10 over SS based off of looks? What about replay value? What about actual value? What about a story that makes sense? What about better and more challenging gameplay? Great cinematics win movie awards but it shouldn't win game awards.

Based on both of the franchises' last games, Uncharted 3 has a better chance of getting a 10. From the looks of it, I have a hard time imagining Zelda SS would get AAAAE based off of Twilight Princess's iffy motion controls combined with the design of Wind Waker. Still it was specifically designed with the controller in mind so it shouldn't be some half-assed port like TP. Maybe, GS will give UC3 the GOTY because UC2 didn't get it and it kinda deserved it but 3D Zelda games are legendary for a reason.
