I like both but I like TR more.

For me its Uncharted. I tried playing the original tomb raider games back in the PS1 days and always found the combat and movement to be very clunky and really not to my taste.
I like the humor in Uncharted, drake and sully have a real chemistry between them which makes you like the characters, something i never got from TR.
Tomb Raider for me, I have a two decade history loving Tomb Raider games. Uncharted not even half as long and I barely even liked them when I did play them, though they were decent at best. Still looking forward to Uncharted 4 a great deal more than I have for the others.
I'm also more grateful Tomb Raider is still around after the developers, publishers, the state of the IP itself, they were all teetering on the edge of ruin. I'm grateful for every last bit of Tomb Raider goodness I can get my hands on.
Anyhow, picked up Uncharted Collection with my PS4, maybe it'll grow on me more now.
Uncharted
And it totally baffles me when people knock Uncharted for being a "movie game" and having all of the QTE situations....but then turn around and praise the new Tomb Raider games which are chock full of the exact same shit.
Unreal is not an adventure game. It has very little exploration, one of the defining mechanics of the action-adventure genre. It's a third-person shooter, not an adventure game. Calling Uncharted an adventure game would be like calling Call of Duty an RPG.
Classic Tomb Raider is the better adventure series. It has all the defining mechanics of action-adventure games, from exploration to puzzles. Sure it had clunky controls and primitive third-person shooting mechanics, but it's better than Uncharted when it comes to the actual adventure part, and that's what makes classic Tomb Raider the better action-adventure series.
I never liked the old Tomb Raider series, but I enjoy the reboot. However, I still think the Uncharted series is better.
In what respect? The type of adventure? The gameplay? What OP?
In terms of Adventure, Uncharted.
1: Trying to find Eldorado through a lot of tropical locations
2: Trying to find Shambhala and the cinnitmani(sp) stone ending up in the ancient city of Shambhala
3: Iram of the Pillars and trying to find the City of Brass/Gold, ending up there(though huge anti climax as we never know what was in the thing in the water)
Not played ROTTR
But the first one did good on exploring some ancient world war 2 Japanese island with the Oni, which I thought was pretty cool. Trying to copy where Uncharted had been would have been a huge mess.
Still, in terms of adventure, Uncharted hands down.
Hard to say....
I was not a fan of Uncharted 1 or 3 at all and Tomb raider 2013 was missing a ton of what I loved about the TR series, wasn't huge on that either. BUT.... Rise of The tomb Raider and Uncharted 2 are masterpieces imo and the two best from either series. If you had a gun to me and asked what I woudl pick out of those tow it would be very hard to say but I would have to lean towards Rise of The Tomb raider, because of what Teeth said mainly. The controls, gameplay and combat is not as janky in ROTTR as it is in the uncharted series. While I like the different locations of Uncharted more.
1. Rise Of The Tomb Raider
2. Uncharted 2
-- The Rest I will never play again to be 100% honest, they all pale in comparison to those two games.
Tomb Raider defined a generation and helped a console become legendary. Uncharted didn't do anything, it's just another adventure game. As for the current games, RoTR is one helluva game, it's pretty good. Hopefully when the last group finally get the game whenever that is, they will still get it and play it. Haven't seen anything exciting about the upcoming Uncharted game yet, so can't say much.
Definitely Tomb Raider, there's just so much more to do and explore. Exploration is just not something that Uncharted does and it really should have.
Uncharted 1 was ok, Uncharted 2 was good, Uncharted 3 kept me interested for about 2 hours may go back and finish it but I'd really need to have nothing else to play.
I'll always love Tomb Raider Legends, Anniversary,Underworld,Uncharted 1 and 2. Tomb Raider (2013), Uncharted 3 were abominations. Yet to play Rise of the Tomb Raider.
So Short Answer, Tomb Raider Trilogy > Uncharted Trilogy.
Uncharted 1 and 2 > Tomb Raider (2013)
Well? :)
My god. We are pretty far apart on that. Devil's Third is an abomination.
First off I don't even begin with TR Legends or Underworld. I go back to PS with Tomb Raider 1-4. 4 was weak imo but those first 2 were great stuff.
I was touting Uncharted on here back in 2007/08. I loved it. Then Uncharted 2 came out and the "Indiana Jones" type game many were waiting for was here in full effect. It lost GOTY to Demons Souls and my personal was Arkham Asylum because someone finally did Batman justice but it was a rare gem of a game. Uncharted 3 lost some steam in places. I liked the starting with Nate and Sully meeting, but there was jut so much to live up to after 2. But an abomination? LOL
Now TR 2013 is imo equal to Uncharted 1. A great start with plenty of room for improvement and growth. Rise of the TR a c**t's hair below Uncharted 2 imo. Everything in Rise is amped up and better than its predecessor. Play it folks, on whatever you wish to.
Love how the adventure is in quotes. You don't have to read the OP to find the passive aggression
You do to realize that there is no passive agression.
@indzman: I honestly don't know. i love both games and both series. The games are the same genre, but they are definitely much different. The feel and control of the games are different and it will depend on the gamer on which one they favor. I enjoy both games too much to even care really.

In terms of actual adventure gameplay, Tomb Raider is the better adventure game series, since it has exploration, something which Uncharted lacks.
Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta beats them both hands down
Ibn Battuta would be a good backstory for an Uncharted or Tomb Raider game (or an Assassin's Creed game), but it's been wasted on garbage like Unearthed.
Uncharted by far out of those
Old tomb raider games have mediocre core gameplay and newer one are casual uncharted clones while I cant Stand Uncharted either but compare to both uncharted is better. Only reason tomb radier is popular because it involve female main character so gaming industry wouldnot accuse of bieng sexist otherwise nobody would care about tomb raider if it doesnot have female protagonist.
