Goldeneye 007 Wii

We shall see when Goldeneye 007Wii is released. It offers BOTH Dual Analog Controls (via Cla$$ic Controller or Cla$$ic Controller Pro) as well as WiiMote & Nunchuck Controls. Online multiplayer will be the determining factor here.

Anywho, with the Release of Goldeneye 007 Wii, players will FINALLY be able to squash the question of which is the better Control Scheme. Hope everybody that talks big about one control scheme or the other, gets the game so they can see how their control scheme matches up against the opposing controls.

I'll be online with the WiiMote & Nunchuck Setup.

I'd prefer Wiimote + nunchuck, not a gamepad. I suppose a mouse would be win too.

Yeah, that looks about right.

I would agree with that until WiiMote & Nunchuck is put on Insane Turning, then they are about the same. But IMO, BOTH are MUCH better than Dual Analogs.

Wiimote + Nunchuck, no question. That is, if those controls are implemented correctly, with a small deadzone and high sensitivityand all.

this question was anwsered for me years ago with, surprisingly enough, the COD launch title on wii. that controlled really nicely. then MP3 came along to firther solidify its position. only the DSs touch screen and a mouse beat it.

does it really matter? if everybody used to dual analog controls will be playing reach and black ops, how many people will be left to be playing this game? how many people that actually regularly even play fps on the wii. its not like there are any winners in that category for it right now.

They're selling it on the C. Controller in mind. I'm sure both ways will be fine but most Wii users are probably used to Wiimote and Nunchuck by now.

I dunno, I've played several COD games on the Wii with the WiiMote and Nunchuck...and hated the control scheme so much that its caused me to stop playing...so I'm leaning toward Dual Analogs.

Half-Way
Meh I have a great mouse and keyboard (logitech ultrax premium and deathadder) but in FPS games I like wiimote/nunchuck controls way more. You actually feel involved and move more like a living person. And analogue movement to top it off. Just have to wait a few lifetimes for a good full fledged standard FPS using such a setup.

ok. if you honestly play fps on the wii, you must be using the nunchuck as i doubt most people who prefer analog will be playing this game. (or else why would they be buying a wii, can't be for controls, and who buys a wii for fps?) therefore, anyone using dual analog for this game will be a total noob and get owned. happy?

I know wiimote used to suck for FPS when I had it. Maybe its improved a bit since then though. I always thought it had the potential to be the best, but I don't think developers have used it very well.

That said, it's going to be sad and depressing that it's not until Move comes out that people are going to realize how superior motion controls are for FPS compares to dual analog.

Sooo True. It really is sad. Motion Controls are vastly superior to Dual Analogs on FPS any day of the week. It's no comparison at all. I actually prefer WiiMote & Nunchuck to KB/M but KB/M is really good too and BOTH easily outdo Dual analogs. It's hard to watch people play FPS without Motion Controls once exposed to it. Dual Analogs make FPS seem so primitive and last gen. Dual Analogs could never compete with Wiimote & Nunchuck in FPS. But as you stated, unfortunately it's going to take PS Move for them to realize that.

Wii mote is in a whole different league than analogs. The more PSmove owners destroying the cc analog users online, AND ITS GONNA HAPPEN WITHOUT A SLINT OF DOUBT, the more this argument will dissapear. just like nowadays you gotta be a troll or ignorant to say Mouse keyboard is inferior to analogs, only the ones who havent tried for more than 10 mins the wiimote, have the ..guts to compare to the infinitely inferior analog.Sorry, the difference is so big i have to use these expressions.

I can't get used to it regardless of the settings and I already rest my hand on my knee.

As long as the Wiimote FPS controls are at least up to MP3 standards there is no doubt in my mind that it'll give a significant edge.
