For gaming, id say a console is better.

Well if you're unemployed and broke, wasting money on video games and amusements seems kind of wrong to me.

PC's are excellent, and don't need to be upgraded as often as people think. Many people are still gaming with 8800GT's etc.

Basically: cpu each 2.5 /3 years and the gpu each 1.5 years

Yeah, it's really not difficult. Though i'm still gaming on a e8400, so i'll upgrade to the i7 or later iteration within the next year or so.

OK, sorry about asking this question but I have a friend that plays PC games and I just want to find the opinion of other people, I think PCs lack standards, I mean you have to constantly update the computer where as consoles take only the games that were made for them. I think PCs are a complete waste of money, gameing computers are like money sucking vampires.

The PS3's graphics chip is a modified nVidia 7800 GTX, which is 5 years old. Since that 7-Series card was made, nVidia has progressed through the 8, 9, 100, and 200-Series, and they are working on the 300.

Even worse, the original Xbox used a chip modified from the 4-Series. The current console uses an old ATI modification.

PC is the best.

It only does everything.

It's all subjective because people have different perspectives of "friends". How can you say it is sad he doesn't have any real friends? Maybe he likes his online friends just like he would a RL friend. I have both gaming buddies and RL friends, but I wouldn't see it as sad if I only had gaming buddies. If you feel good with your gaming buddies that's all you need and it comes without the conflicts of RL friends.

pc has more objective pros for it than the consoles.

and most of the cons people list for the pc are either based on ignorance or out dated info

when it gets down to it, its all about the games. theres no point in buying a console or pc if it doesnt have the games you want.

Exactly, consoles have standards that don't change until the next console comes out. Its also reliable, you can't really hack a console its not like i can just go and take over a console thats not connected to the internet, neither can you get viruses.
