Halo series

Kind of don't like any of those... :P
First Halo was fun for its time.

Halo only! It's the only thing I give damn about Xbox game series but still have little love for Gears of War series.

Voted: Halo....only because I still get the nostalgic from Combat Evolve.

Age of Empires easely

Alan wake was best microsoft published game. didnot liked any of them. not especially Halo.

They're all so great it's tough to choose just one but gotta go with.,..., HALO. lol :P

I didn't go with Halo because I don't like its spin offs (including movies) and Halo 5. So while Halo is awesome, AoE is more consistent in its quality.

Age of Empires is the only one I care about.

But since it's locked behind Windows 10 / Windows store it's hard for me to still care about that franchise.

I still play Age of Empires Online from time to time.

I was being a bit factitious but TBH it's Halos followed by Forzas then Gears. The others while still good don't really come too close for me. .

Don't really like those games which is why it took me a long time to upgrade from the . MS needs more creativity and variety.

Tough call but I think I would go with Halo although Gears of War and Forza are very close behind.

I'm a big fan of Halo/Forza/Gears, and the only reason I dont play them as much is due to lack of time.

I'll just say Forza because that is the game I am playing the most now out of those 3. Overall, its a more relaxing kind of game, and I can easily play just a few rounds without necessarily committing myself to a more serious, bigger session.

I'm a huge fan of 2D games as well, and Ori is my favorite 2D series this Gen. Unless Bloodstained does something amazing. I love CupHead too but I prefer the kind of game Ori is.

I forgot about Cuphead. Ori is a masterpiece. I cannot wait for the second one.

Age of Mythology

You don't like Age of Empires more?

Forza, great series.

No, I find AoM more fun to play because it's a tad more focused on managing resources, plus I find the civilizations more interesting in general.

Wow, what a mediocre list. Either dead or dying franchises here. Only franchise that’s still healthy on the list is Forza and only with the Forza Horizon games as Forza Motorsport is starting to suffer from franchise fatigue.

My favorite on the list is still Halo even though 4 and 5 were shit, the Halo franchise is the sole reason Xbox is still alive today. Hopefully they can get their act together again with Halo 6 or there will be rough times ahead for Xbox.

Edit: I didn’t notice Ori up there, it’s a fantastic game and so is Cuphead.

Forza is one of best franchises in all of gaming. Of course it has to be Forza.

Are we not counting Ryse: Son of Rome, Recore, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break? While Microsoft doesn't own any of those they still published them.

I love Halo, Gears & Ori, but I'd have to go with Forza. Between Motorsport and Horizon, Xbox consistently has the best racers on the market.

Halo and Gears for me, love it still despite claims series in quality decline. Forza is probably strongest and most consistent in critical appraisal, I enjoy the Horizon games but not a fan of the circuit racers.

Halo is good but Age of Empires is the best (I include AoM to that franchise).

But from a view of what has made Microsoft stand out, it has to be Halo.

Definitely Forza. Halo is a distant second. The rest all suck.

Forza is the one that sticks out to me - consistent quality and no nonsense.

Age of Empires, no question. Even the admittedly flawed AOE III still managed to give me 200 hours of good entertainment.

Age of empires for sure. Rise of Nations too, if that counts.

The best franchise that they own is Perfect Dark. If only they would do something with it.

Yeah it's an amazing game, very very addictive.
