hey pal I never said the 360 was more powerful. I just said the 360 is powerful. I agree with you in that the PS3 is more powerful, but its more expensive and complicated to make games for it, 360 not so much.

Also if you think the PS3 will have a better selection of games your crazy. The 360 is THE gaming system. PS3 cannot compete with either 360 nor Wii because they both have the exclusives locked down.

The only PS3 excusive im kind of interested in is Resistance and im a litle bit interested in Killzone 3 or Killzone 2 whatever the hell its gonna be called. Im excited for so much more games for Wii and 360.

Don't get me wrong I will be getting a PS3 down the line but your argument that the PS3 will have a better selection of games is without any evidence and logic. For games 360>Wii>PS3 for power PS3>360>Wii. Thank you have a nice day.

i think the wii is better because of the games and gameplay so what if it doesn't have as mush power the gameplay is still alot better than 360 or ps3 the 360's controller is still stationary just like it was 20yrs ago... were now in the future. And about gears of war..... lots of glitches and i wont be surprised when halo3 has the samerabadaglan

Depends on tastes. 360 has a better library since it has a year headstart. PS3 has teh blue-ray. Wii has teh incredible motion sensing controllar but no games atm lol. but in the end, Wii wins because it will have the best games, controller and sales.

no one can predict which one will win this early, imo.  

For me It's Wii.

Here's why, it has made me go out and buy a console, I would never have bought one otherwise. The control system really excites me and gives a new playing experience ( having got one I am not disappointed ) I play FPS and C&C style games on PC anyway and find the Wii offers a completely new aspect of play I can share with my non game playing friends.

Ask me in November, about a year from the launches of the Wii and PS3.  I don't think it's fair to compare now.

Right now 360, but the PS3 will probably score second in the long run.

Unless the lineup the 360 has in the future is as good as it is now, then it probably won't continue to be as good.

Depends on your basis of measurement.

If you want to compare just consoles...the PS3 is clearly the best.

If you want to compare by games, that is opinion based, even when using published scores as a basis.

But that goes against the design of system wars!

 Right now...for me...the PS3 is the best. For what it has and is going to have, it is the console for me. Despite that I would take my PC over my XB2 or PS3 any-day. But you said console... so my hands are tied.

PS3 for teh proverbial win.

As for the Wii, the jury is still out, I do think Nintendo have underpowered it, but I still think it has great potential with the Wii-motion sensing technology, of course, i doubt there would be any reason that MS or Sony couldn't adapt their consoles with motion sensing peripherals.  Interesting times.  

All in all, I will go with the 360 on this one, I think its future is assured, the games, current and future seem to reflect that.  I think you can be certain that it wont become an expensive doorstop.

basically the 360 is you safe bet.  BUt that's just it, its the safe choice.  Just like all safe choices you may look back in a few years and regret it.  You'll have a lot of great games that filled your time very very well, but the other two consoles could be something more ---special. 

First off, the ps3 is just a better machine than the 360.  There is a lot of debate on this, but general consensus is that it edges the 360 in every category.  But again, there is debate, so its risky.  The bluray storage media is the future for gaming, since it is NOT possible to do a large, well-detailed game with OPEN GAMEPLAY on the 360's DVD9 discs (eg. gears is way short).  The 360 can do large, linear games, but that requires multiple discs (which is fine, but kinda blah).  So, the potential for the ps3 is that it will have those golden-glow, n64-type of classic games that the industry rallies around, moreso than the 360.

As for wii, that might be a bigger risk than the ps3.  It's risky because if the wii churns out regular video games with funky controls then it is complete waste.  And again, this is still in debate.  Wiisports in particular really shows off the wii well, and the hope is that this kind of motion sensing can be integrated into long, epic games.  It's failed thus far at doing it, but that's just it: it only has to get it right once.  Once a great FPS is made for the wii, others will copy the basics of that game, and this goes for adventure games, rpgs, and even puzzle games.  So if you think the industry has gotten stale, with the 100th apocalyptic rpg, 1,000th gory FPS, and the same button pressing for the 1,000,000th time, then the potential for the wii is to offer something fresh.

I'll just remind whomever that the potential for the ps3 and wii could evaporate into nothing, and that would be a much worse situation than owning a 360 and wishing for that little extra in your gaming experience.

This is an easy one; the ONLY new gen system is the wii. Its the only system that provides a significant , in this case MASSIVE, improvement over last generation hardware in terms of gameplay. It provides a much larger range of gameplay possibilities than any other system currently out.

The ps3/360 are merely last gen systems with better graphics. The wii is the only new gen system.

but if your idea of "new/next generation" is limited to improvements in graphics then the ps3/360 are going to be it. But since what makes a game a game in the first place is GAMEPLAY that definition of "next/new-gen" isnt going to fly over here in reality.

in hardware the PS3 hands down for what you get out the box

in software X360 for the games

in price the wii its only $250

IMHO the PS3 would be neck and neck with the wii in sells if blu-ray was an add-on leaving the X360 in the dust
