[QUOTE="ActicEdge"]This is some kind of joke right? SMG is the best one there, in fact, its basically the only pure platformer on that list.mstc_QSo would you say that the Wii is the system to get if you like platformers then?
No, I don't like to make broad statements like that, I would say it not a bad choice if yyou like platformers though. I'll say though, I haven't played a platformer as good as SMG since Yoshi's Island, the game is fantastic.

Perhaps, but platformers are largely ignored these days by most developers that aren't Nintendo, and few other developers who actually care about platforming anymore, not to mention all the other dying genres. Most of the games you listed weren't pure platformers but rather hybrids, Galaxy being the only game there I'd say is a true blood platformer, not to say that the other ones listed there are bad platformers (though I think Nuts and Bolts is a travesty and waste of years of waiting). Judging from you Cave Story avatar, I'd say you feel as much pity for platformers as I do.

There is no real platformer system this gen, becuase they've lost their popularity. I'd say the Wii is the best choice because of the Virtual Console.
Dag nab it, I knew I was forgetting something...
Freaking LBP, that would have been a better option for the PS3 exclusive...
That's so upsetting that I'm going to have to do a repolling of this...
Rats, never mind. Removing the poll to edit it removes my poll for the day.
Why didn't you put Little Big Planet ?tek91Because, for some reason, he put in Order of Ecclesia instead. :P
I voted ratchet and clank. However since the only current gen console I own is ps3 I've never had a chance to play any of the others but ratchet and clank was pretty sweet and I hope they keep the platformers up. Not too mention ratchet and clank looked pretty sweet on my sharp hdtv.
