Well there are games like Back to the future and The Walking Dead but I agree.The old HARD as F*CK games like the longest journey, monkey island ect ect are pretty much gone.

Puzzle games are a live and well on PC and social networks. so are platformers (also very popular on consoles of course).

The TRUE survial horror genre is been kept alive moslty by a few indie devs on PC. What passes for survival horror on consoles are a pale shadow and usually just action games with gory elements.

I suppose true stealth is a dead genre.

Yea this is the closest thing for a while, although it gave you the option of stealth, it wasn't required. We haven't had something like that where stealth is actually necessary for success for ages, I think that awful Velvet Assassin game was probably the last one; we haven't had a good stealth game since Chaos Theory.
