There is absolutely no dubt that Uncharted 2 will look the best when playing it, bullshots make ME 2 and AC2 look way better then they are, especially ME2 but not Uncharted 2.

ME2 does not look impressive even with bullshots, it's so empty like the first one and if it has the same framerate as the first one then it really blows, first one also had pretty blury and jaggiue picture with too much bloom, AC2 looks really nice but still not as good as Uncharted 2 probably because of so many models and big environments.

skyform

Those uncharted 2 screenshots are also bullshots,i played the beta and there is jaggies.

I know that they are but what i meant is that the difference from bullshots to gameplay graphics it's the smallest difference in Uncharted, i played the beta aswell and Uncharted has for sure the least jaggies of this 3 games, you also have to know that sp graphics are better looking then the mp from the beta.

I dont know what do people see in ME2 graphics looky very similar tzo ME which looked very unimpressive, jaggies bad frammerate, average textures, bad animations, empty environments, just look at the ME or ME2 environments, there is nothing, just some flat walls boxes and stuff like this.

I had ME so i know how it looked, unimpressive, except some colose ups on the models.

The AC2 shots really are not that much of a bullshot, it is only 1440 by 900 downsampled to 720, not much of a bullshot by anymeans.

Theres no doubt Uncharted 2 looks the most technically impressive, but I personally prefer the open-ended world of AC2 myself.

GabeNewellsPie

I think AC2 is more technically impressive because UC2 doesn't have open worlds and that much A.i on screen. Also, it looks just as good.

Mass Effect 2 looks the best for me, I like the scifi artstyle, but hopefully there will be an option for a properly done film grain too.

Assassin's Creed 2 is second, great detail and I'm sure great animations too but the artstyle is pretty neutral to me.

Uncharted 2 is the last, I'm just not digging the artstyle, looks like Assasin's Creed with an ugly color palette.

Dunno about their technical merits and don't really care.

Both Mass Effect 2 and AC II look great. However, the level of detail and crisp textures combined with incredible animations of Uncharted 2 clearly puts it a step above both. All look fantastic though and I will buy all 3.

AC2 and UC2 both have great animations, that is one of AC2's strong points. The textures in AC2 aree pretty high res as well, while I agree probably not as high res as UC2(nearly).

AC2 definitely has good animations, just not quite as impressive as this in my opinion.

They are indeed quite good though and both are looking to be great games. I just have to give Uncharted 2 the edge in overall technical prowess.

Technically, I think AC2 is better, it looks great it is open world, rendering more people, and more A.I.

I am glad you think so, however, I strongly disagree. Exclusives tend to always be technically superior in comparison to multiplatform games. Not to mention Ubisoft cannot hold a candle to Naughty Dog, sorry. You are entitled to your opinion, though, just as I am.:)

With the way UBI's multiplat games look, I think they could crush ND if they went exclusive to one platform.

Sure, we can sit here and create fictional scenarios which fit our particular bias all day. Again, I am happy you love Ubisoft so much. I dig a lot of their games as well. However, I must strongly disagree in your assessment of them being more talented than Naughty Dog, lol. To each their own though, aye?

Your post doesn't make sense at all,AC2 is the game that is technically superior it looks amazing and yet i has a huge open world full of geometry and hundreds of A.Is to render at once, you don't see that in linear games like UC2,the only thing UC2 has over AC2 is textures and animations( no by much ).

Assassin's Creed 2 (It has larger world and still looks good)

Uncharted 2 (Looks great and I love the look of the game Art wise I didn't say it because I don't know the scope of the game)

Mass Effect (Looks better graphically then the first)

(I tried to be unbiased I said AC2 and I hated the first game.)

Imo the damage from explosions in Uncharted 2 are technical and physical way more demanding then anything in AC2, im talking about the E3 gameplay footage when the whole wall explodes there is tons of physics going on, everything in the room is fiyling aroung and melting into pieces and even then the whole building collaps.

skyform
I am seriously considering a PS3 thanks to that footage at E3.

Resident evil 5 says hi.

I said they tend to, which is pretty much common knowledge. I did not say every multiplat is inferior to every exclusive, did I? However, it really all comes down to budget and the developers in general as well. In the case in question, I would bet money on a Naughty Dog exclusive over a Ubisoft multiplat any day of the week.

Yes, AC2 is larger and still looks amazing. But, it still is not as impressive as what Uncharted is doing graphically, or with animations and physics. Oh, and the hundres of A.I. to render at once....how much do you want to bet they will be the same ones used over and over throughout for the most part just like in the first game? Again, we will see which one gets more technical points when they are released....should be fun.

You talk like UC2 physics are something we haven't see before, can i ask what physics ? there isn't even destruction in the environment is dead static.AC2 is more technical impressive,is like crysis,it manage to look good and have lot on the screen, without the need of being a linear with no that much going on the screen like uncharted 2.

I never it was nothing we never seen, I merely said it is technically more impressive than ACII....which it is. May I ask you what Assassin's Creed II is doing that we have never seen physics wise? Also, your comparison with Crysis is quite laughable at best. Also, no destruction and merely static environments in Uncharted 2:lol:. I'll just leave you with this gameplay footage, as you have obviously never seen it. Though, I still doubt it will change your mind and I am not trying to do that. Just saying that the gameplay speaks for itself. Good day.

I agree with Mafia 2. Holy god, not only is it one of the most amazing looking games I've ever seen (both cutscenes and in-game), but the detail and crispness of the city, vehicles, and characters is astonishing. I wish that hadn't been delayed. :(

It's hard for me to care about the graphics in that game when I'm too busy waiting for a continuation of the kickass gameplay that made Mafia I so awesome.

Uncharted 2 looks like a cartoon.

Assassin's Creed is the closest to reality. I can really Venice in those screens. I live near Venice, so I can tell.

Mass Effect 2 may not have the perfect graphics, but it'll be a better game, totally.

Wait until the games come out before judging them. Those bullshot do no good for either game. U2 is the closest thing to those pics. the other games dont look as good in gameplay, trust me. U2 frmo the war torn cities, to the icy mountains, to the beutifull lush envirnments. just look at the detail in that jungle. and mass effect shouldnt be in this thread. at least put alan wake. also when you jump in a pool of water in U2..u acually get WET. what game does that so perfectly? AC2 doesnt have that

I wish we could do embed HD videos for REAL comparisons, not some cheap screenshots. Seriously, Uncharted 2 looks like an over shaded mess, Mass Effect looks all jaggy, and AC2 looks really... flat. Which they do NOT in motion.

Getting wet isn't a big deal TBH. AC2 does have large environment, really pretty graphics, a nice recreation on Venice and alot more people and A.I to render..

What does Crysis have to do with anything? Oh, just a Red Herring for you to use because you have no argument and there is not any actual gameplay footage of AC2 that can top it and you know it. All I said is that it is technically more impressive than Assassin's Creed 2, and it looks like the majority agrees. I tell you what, let us just wait until both are released and we shall see which one gets more technical points, shall we? Looking forward to it.;)

AC2 looks the best with those shots anyways. The only problem I have with Uncharted 2 is some of the forest looks muddy and smuggy. It's not completely clean. Even the characters back isn't completely clear and clean compared to AC2. The pictures for Mass Effect were just bad pics. That game looks way better then that. AC2 and UC2 are going to be incredible though. Must have titles. Mass Effect 2 is also a must pre-order.

Based on those images:

ACII >>> ME2 >>> UC2

Based on the quality and creativeness of the environments:

ME2 >>> ACII >>> UC2

AC2 looks the best with those shots anyways. The only problem I have with Uncharted 2 is some of the forest looks muddy and smuggy. It's not completely clean. Even the characters back isn't completely clear and clean compared to AC2. The pictures for Mass Effect were just bad pics. That game looks way better then that. AC2 and UC2 are going to be incredible though. Must have titles. Mass Effect 2 is also a must pre-order.

LOL....if you've been to a forrest in your life time, you would realise that it is MUDDY and SMUGGY, since when is nature clean?....also he's been through hell. of course his back isnt clean. and if you refering to that pic then...HE'S WET. in U2 you get down and dirty. in AC2 you stay clean and dry through out the whole game even if you dump your self in a pool of water.

How Uncharted is winning is beyond me

AC2 clearly looks better, Graphically, technically and artisticly. Looks so much like France ...

Those ME2 pictures are terrible, looked almost cell shaded at first.

I believe all 3 games were present at E3 and Uncharted 2 was declared by the media as having the 'best console graphics', with whom i agree... so i dont see the use of creating a poll in SW.. TC's question was already answered..

i say Uncharted 2 clearly looks better graphically, technically and artistically. it has better character models, more fluent animations and more of a colour contrast. not sure about the textures or physics.

I loved the first Mass Effect. I thought it was a beautiful game, although the pop up textures did get annoying sometimes. All 3 of these gameslook really impressive but does anyone know what causes the pop up inof textures in games? Is it the processor getting hot and overworking or isbecause the ram or hard drive not loading the data fast enough? Just wondering.

AC2 looks the most impressive, but its my least anticipated of the bunch.

BioShockOwnz

You can never accept the fact that a PS3 game might be the console graphics king.

Same thing happened with resident evil 5 and killzone 2.

imo it is close between U2 and AC2 with U2 coming out slightly in front as best looking game.

those comparisons don't make much sense. Moreover they shouldn't be judged according to how colorful they are or whatever else.

Uncharted 2 has a cartoonish style, doesn't look as realistic as AC2. Mass Effect 2, on the other hand, needs to have another kind of visuals and a space science fiction enviroment and I'd not change anything about it. how are you ppl not getting this? how would AC2 look if it used the same art style as Uncharted 2? it'd totally unfit for that kind of enviroment. Venice looks great like that, very realistic. So each game looks good with its own art style and no way that you can compare them with each other.

This is the generation of the video comparisons and of the people talking about graphics all the time. How sad.

The pure concept of videogaming is failing, thanks to people like you that see videogames like something to stare at.

poor world.

Wait we are talking about artstyle now? In that case, ME2>AC2>U2 easily.

i think Uncharted 2 looks 'best'.

but all three are day 1 buys for me.

in fact Mass Effect 2 is a special edition buy, and i'm considering Assassin's Creed 2...

From those pics I'd say Uncharted 2. Out of the 3 I would much rather play Mass Effect 2, but instead I'll just play them all.
