If you choose Microsoft you're just desperate.c4rtr1dg3why? why wouldn't microsoft have the ability to win, they could unleash epic crazyness at E3, they've been very quiet lately (calm before the storm if you will). I just hope their E3 isn't riddled with more exclusive DLC announcements *facepalm*. Actually if MS announced that they just created/bought a bunch of studio's as first party studio's I'd consider that a pretty MASSIVE announcement for MS (although I highly doubt that would happen). But i do think they have their handful with what sony has already announced, and I'm sure sony has more planned for E3 (they said ~50% of their psp lineup for this year will be shown at E3) So it should be an interesting E3.
Nintendo.
They apologized for last year's E3.
The start of this year has been quiet, unlike last year with Brawl and Mario Kart before E3.
They're sitting on Pikmin 3, that much we know.
They also have Motion+ and the DSi to focus on.
Count them out? Not a chance. They'll at least be able to beat MS' presentation this year.
I remember you saying exactly the same last year... The 07nintendo E3 was pretty bad too, but I don't have any hope for nintendo anymore (maybe a little) They have chosen another strategy, and I could see another" Wii..." games being announced once again but as you say I wouldn't count them outNintendo.

Well Microsoft does have stuff you offer, but most of it hasn't been annouced yet. Even though Sony has annouced a lot of stuff, probably a 1/3 of it won't come out until 2010. Still Sony should be able to take E3 this year, especially if they announce a decent price cut. They have the games on both PS3 and PSP and there are still titles for both platforms that haven't been annouced yet. Taking the E3 is one thing, taking the holiday season is another. Sony has yet to do that and even with all these great titles, it still may be tough for them to surpass the XBox 360 or Wii in Nov & Dec. This is suppose to be Sony's year to start turning things around. Let's see how they do. I'm especially looking forward to InFamous, Uncharted 2 and FF XIII.Sony has so much while microsoft has nothing to offer.

"Team ICO game" is all that's needed. Seriously.

I don't think I said the exact same thing last year. Maybe something similar... :P
But it is a different situation. Last year there was all this talk about whether or not E3 was really relevant anymore and most sheep were hoping for some more huge titles as pretty much the icing on the cake, 'cause the year had started out great. Now we know and Nintendo definitely knows, that E3 is still important, and this year they need a good presentation.

well, hopefully ninty cares about E3 once again...there's still hope :PI wish Nintendo would have great E3 but I doubt they will.
I think Sony will because they'll show off their big exclusives like GOW3, Uncharted 2, Infamous yadayada and probably announce a couple of new games

I'm hopeful. But then, I didn't think last year's was the end of the world like most of SW did. :P

doesnt ms do that also? i could be wrong but im pretty sure the only big game that came out the same year that it was announced was gears 2@GDC.

Contrary to popular belief, MS does announce games early. :o

True, and Nintendo's Summit Conferences wound up being the shows with the groundbreaking news. Nintendo likes doing things their own way.
But with E3 trying to go back to the way it was in 2005 (maybe 2006) and how everyone reacted with E3 last year, Nintendo knows it must bring more to the table. And I'm hoping they will. :D

That's popular belief? Surely everyone on here knows Alan Wait is taking the same time as it was to make K2.Nintendo will probably bomb again, maybe slightly less.
It's really between MS and Sony, There is already a ton of Sony titles slated for 09, I bet they will have a few suprises.
MS could go either way, has the most potential to either suprise or dissapoint.

Curious, isn't ti?. With such a dominance here on SW, one would think they would be selling more.Another day, another poll with Sony dominating. :)
lolfaqs
im going with nintendo ,, they always suprise me everytime, except last year
mariokart64fan They'll have nothing this year too. :P
It could really go any way. We generally know of Sony's upcoming lineup, so there will be more footage shown of them and possible even more. I'm expecting Microsoft to announce something big, and I'm also expecting to see some impressive first-party stuff from Nintendo. I think it's going to be a great E3, can't wait.
You might as well have asked, " Are you a 360 fanboy, a PS3 fanboy, or a Wii fanboy?"DonPerian
This.
I'd wait for E3 and see what all games are coming out for each of the three consoles before I start judging.
It is way to soon to call this(if you can ever truly call it). Microsoft and Sony both have huge potential. Sony mostly just has to show new trailers and gameplay for their 2009 lineup. Microsoft has the highest potential to release surprises and new games since there is only a handful announced games so far, and they hinted at news( if they don't they will be ranked as bad as Nintendo the 2 previous years at E3 and vista in failure). Nintendo..... well they can't get much worse. Though to be fair Nintendo is far past due to release news about a hard core game, so there is potential.
The most impressive stuff maybe? But what determines or makes something more impressive than another? :? Most people agree that Nintendo had the worst E3 showing last year. If we are able to categorize what's worse, then it stands to reason we can stand to categorize what's the best or "the least worst". Thats how we determine which is more impressive or not, by seeing which company announces features which interest gamers the most, and I say gamers because I dont think casuals (or a lot of them) roam around system wars, thus their opinions are worthless.[QUOTE="colosion"][QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]Care to explain how one can "win" an E3? What exactly determines "victory" at E3? :?Stevo_the_gamer
Microsoft will announce some stuff that will come out by the end of the year, probably nothing to breath taking but fans will be happy.
Nintendo will tell us how rich they are and how we are no longer a significant statistic to them.
Sony will justify their annual delays of the same games by assuring everybody that after 4X more development time the games will look slightly better than a 360 games, maybe...
