I mean, which one of the three gives off the most heat and is most likely to have a dual-purpose this winter as an entertainment device and a space heater?

While I'm pretty sure that the XBox 360 and PS3 produce the most heat out of the current gen console's; however, when compared I'd have to say the PS3 get's the most heat out of the console. So if your trying to heat a room I'd say PS3; but if you're trying to heat up a meal or something by putting it on the console, I'd have to say the 360.

My 360 and PC help stave back heating bills in winter.

The Wii.

You touch even when it's turned off and you burn your finger. Literally. Try it. It's hot.

I could overclock a PC way less powerful than the Wii to prove you wrong.

Just because it's less powerful doesn't mean it won't burn.

That's some perfect logic there. :|

Power (or lack there of) does not decide how much heat is generated.

I beg to differ. It gets incredibly hot when you have wi-fi going.

The PS3's back is the hottest, but 360's heat seems to cover more surface area.

So would you consider a toaster more powerful than a PS3 or 360?

I've never noticed that. Maybe yours is one of those defective ones.

it depends on the hardware. for example, I have a PC that runs twice as fast as another of mine and is silent compared tot he other one.

No, it works perfectly. Just like the day I got it. Go touch the back of it after you've had wi-fi running for a few hours, it's warm to the touch.

Yeah, I've done that. It's kind of warm, but not anything "hot".
