Metro 2033

Nice high resolution textures, but hardly spectacular.

That is your opinion not mine.
To me it's one of the most atmospheric shooters of all time, alongside STALKER that is.
It was spectacular especially near the end when climbing the tower.
After playing games like Crysis or Metro 2033 most games are meh in visuals, especially console games.

I haven't played it myself, but strictly going off of those screenshots I could certainly agree that it's the best looking game of the year.

I made a poll, so you can vote now.
edit: I also changed the thread name a little

You forgot to add Napoleon Total War.
I included only the more "popular" games, which I assume Total War isn't (while StarCraft 2 lacks spectacular graphics imo).

RDR. It´s a technical marvel!
See thread title >> exclusive games.
You edited :|I don't even get the point of the poll. Obviously the PC game wins by default. And why only exclusives? There was some terrific looking multiplats this year that deserve mentioning.

Oh, I'm not doubting the quality, simply the fact that Metro lacks any individuality to the visuals.
Between Halo: Reach and God of War 3? Tough call. Add Red Dead Redemption and it becomes a 3-way fight for me.
But, I like the US Southwest. So.........
Edit: I'd pick Metro 2033 for the PC if it counted. But, it didn't. So it's RDR by a nosehair.
God of War 3 looks awesome.
Kirby's Epic Yarn has a great Artstyle.
(OMG WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE TO MAKE PICTURES SO DANG BIG?????)
This thread has quickly turned into a "Spam random screenshots of games you think look good".
The title is also misleading in a way. "Spectacular" is pretty vague and doesn't necessarily mean the best graphics.
In my case from the list on the poll I'll go with God of War 3. At least that's from what I have played.
Or people who have played it and prefer God of War III.Wow... How is GoWIII that close to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? Must be a lot of people who haven't played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I guess. Just take a look at the photos and videos in the Steam page for the game.

Since theres no Metro 2033...
PC: Starcraft 2, Gothic 4, Amnesia, or Operation Arrowhead.
PS3: GoW3 and GT5.
Wii: Kirby's Epic Yarn, Goldeneye 007, SMG2, MH3, DKC:R, Sonic Colors
360: Fable 3 and Halo: Reach
or Bad Company 2/Metro 2033 for multiplat >.> Screw picking one, I pick them all...except Reach.
I think God of War 3 has far the most spectacular graphics out of all exclusive games this year so my vote goes to GoW 3 :D
he would count out Metro 2033 considering its the best looking game this year.AlphaJC
That doesn't make it spectacular, though. Mario Galaxy 2 has more spectacle than Metro.
