Which one has future potential for First Person Shooter games? and why?
- Wiimote : Can evolve to provide realistic simulation of FPS
- M&KB : The current choice of FPS gamers

Both?
Kb/M is the staple of FPS's and the PC is the breeding ground for new ideas in FPSs.
The wiimote is just as great, but it's new territory. I'm sure we will continue to see great shooters on the wii, but there will be a lot more experimintation. At least there are new things you can do control wise.
The Wiimote offers an improvement over conventional console FPS controls, but the M&KB is still king IMHO. My reasoning being that the Mouse still offers a "snappier" response.ThePlothole
I, personally, am bored with M&KB because during office I am stuck with it for good amount of time. I wonder if it is same with some other people.
The Wiimote won't ever match the precision of kb/m. Ever.
Now, there could be some interested things done with the Wii remote in ways that a mouse never could do, but if we're talking straight up shooting, it's not even a contest.

they're kinda equal to me. You get more precision with the mouse as it can always be at rest (so can the wiimote, but it's still not quite the same) but the wiimote you get more realism as you have to actually aim and how your hand shakes can affect your aim just like with a real gun. Also, I'm intrested in just how strong the rumble in the wiimote can be. It would be so cool to play a FPS and have the rumble mess up your aim when a close blast went off.
whats more confortable in a long game session like TF2 or BF2? dragging a mouse around a zero friction surface, or holding a wiimote up in the air for 3 hours straight? Just yesterday I was in a TF2 server where both teams were amazing and rounds lasted a couple hours, i cant imagine being all wii-hip and using a pointing device with that.
Even short sessions like UT3 deathmatch sessions would wear you out in seconds, twitch reflex = KM

I disagree with that being an issue. If you rest your elbow on something (such as your leg), you can actually keep the Wiimote pointed for very long periods of time.

Not to mention the Wiimote lags, not in the traditional sense, but you need to do more movement with it to get the same effect as a mouse.
You also have alot less buttons.
m+ kb is already as good as its going to get- its been fantastic for years.
the wiimote is new and has hardly been tried for fps( compared to 360 or PC markets) therefore it has the most potential

but the few buttons you have are more readily available. On Wii games its easier to have an access key, and then point the wiimote at an option. Its quick and instead of having 6 buttons you have 1 button with 6 locations. Please Log In to post.
