I personally think EA. They've really been ruining great developers like Bioware and Crytek.

The entire list, but I would also add Bioware and Blizzard
RoccoHout
This is really just about the Publishers, so EA is with Bioware and Blizzard is with Activision.
activision and EA were already on "evil villain" status before this gen. capcom went from "one of the most beloved" to "good god why are they doing this to us? D:" in this time frame.BrunoBRSIf DLC never existed, they would still be high-respected. Tis' a shame that Capcom fell from such high graces.
If you sort the previous 3 gens on GR or metacritic by highest scores, they are chock full of Squaresoft games.
Now...nothing (on consoles at least).
Juken7
Oh yeah forgot about Square Enix
I can't hate EA with their expansive library, they own too many games not to purchase one once in awhile. I'm still waiting on Dead Space 3 and expect it to be fairly good. I think Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 are Biowares fault, not EA. Activision-Blizzard owns quite a few number of games as well with major names on them. Capcom owns nothing so Capcom gets my vote.
Activision has been worse than EA, but Capcom has been.. hmm. I can't really pick. We should find ways to avoid all 3.
EA really? :\ they are among the best this gen. Activision was never good, so not them... Capcom used to be god tier..so this has to be the one!campzorWas activision not good before this gen? I can't really remember anymore. All I remember is them murdering Guitar Hero and a sports series, torturing employees losing talent and not paying them, trying to run Tim Shafer into the ground, taking dedicated servers and LAN out of a PC title, selling ridiculously overpriced DLC because they know people have to buy it (to play with friends), and are now likely going to kill Bungie as well.
Capcom last gen was just god like. That was easily the strongest a publisher has ever been, every single title they released was GOTY quality. They invested heavily in new ip and even created brand new genres. They supported old and new ip equally and were top notch innovators. Every time Capcom was on the box of a game you just knew that game had a soul. That soul has been taken away and replaced with day one dlc. They are allowing the extremely low tier poor quality development studios to take a dump over all of their most beloved franchises. They are trying to americanise their game to the extreme looking towards Call of Duty for inspiration. It is the most disgusting sight ever. I hope that Capcom sees the error of their ways and returns to their former glory next gen.
While EA did some bad things, it's pretty obvious that it's Capcom. Theyy pretty much ruined alll their strong IPs from the past gens, screwing customers with on disc day 1 DLC, DLC in general, lying to it's fans, especially bad by promissing x if y sells well etc.
Its better that way, activision sticks to its franchises, spiderman, transformers, cod and movie games and EA picks up franchises, destroys them and ruins them for everything. let me show ya, syndicate= disaster, kingdoms of amalaur flopped and everyone got fired= disaster, they destroyed pandeminc, no more mercenaries, saboteur and star wars battlefront, they ruined dragon age and mass effect, hell even crysis 2 was harmed. They have litteraly whored the medal of honor and need for speed franchise, needless to speak for madden and some ips did not even worth it like bulletstorm. Or should i mention godfather 2?EA atleast brought a lot of new IP's this gen. Activision only recycles CoD

Now they say that if we want to see more dead space games, they need 5 million sales so they destroy that franchise too by dumbing it down. On top of that using origin. Every time ea does something it is "the right move" till it blows up and start rumbling on how they were wrong a bunch of liars and deceivers.
Personally for me namco
Bad DLC practices
Rebooting Ace combat and fudging it up story was ok but that dogfighting system was cool for the first hour after that it was flat out boring apart from 1 mission.
Tekken 6 was poor
Eh just in general they have been poor this gen to me apart from Ace combat 6.
for me
square enix: FF 13 was a disaster, FF 14 is another mmo, Ff 13-2 was meh at best
rockstar: gta 4 sucked, rdr sucked, I can't get into La noire, midnight club LA is a major step down from midnight club 3 dub edition
ubisoft: I used to love prince of persia, now they pretty much killed that franchise for assasin's crap
Capcom without a doubt out of those listed. Square Enix has been pretty similar in their fall though. Both used to be known for supporting high quality titles released in a timely manner (well moreso Capcom for the latter). Now Squenix just tends to publish mediocre-bad games and Capcom is determined to milk their fans and respective franchises at a Call of Duty level. Most of the big publishers are getting to be pretty money-grubbing and easy to hate, but Capcom definitely fell the furthest.
EA of course.
That company is the greediest gaming company in existence today.
They think they can compete with Steam.
They're imposing their stupid online pass system on gamers who buy used games to save a few bucks.
They're like the Apple of the gaming industry. Overly pretentious and trying to get you to sign up for all this useless sh1t you don't need.

So being profitable and using people's own stupidity to make more money is bad? sorry guys lets not take the moral high ground and say one is better than the other, all of them are bad and all abide by the rules of capitalism some more so than others especially EA they see holes in markets because stupid people will willingly pay for cheats then you should be taking it up with the people that do it.
Signing up for things is nothing new, they all do it aswell, so thats pretty unfounded aswell, and really online pass is an extension of crap we seen a decade ago on the PC so get over it.
Honestly people are a just a teeny bit idiotic on here, its capitalism, its big buisness, get used to it.Think MS,Sony or any other company didnt do dodgy-ish or unfavourable things to get to where they are.
so get over it.

I'm not just gonna sit here and take it.
That's a horrible mindset. "We can't do anything about it so let's just fork over all the money they want."
You shouldn't just excuse them because they're still abiding by the law. They're exploiting the system, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.
There really isn't much we can do about it. The most we can do is refuse to buy their bullcrap DLC and online passes. (Unfortunately most people are suckered in to buying that stuff.)
If it weren't for Just Cause 2 and Deus Ex it would be very easy to say Square Enix. Seriously, I hate them. They are absolutely terrible. But they happened to publish two of my GOTY's. Well, Vanquish ties with JC2 and DE ties with Arkham City, but damn those two were awesome.
I guess I have to say Capcom. I never really liked them, but I'm just repulsed by them now.
The first half of this gen, EA was great, and Ubisoft was putting out stinkers like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry 2. Ubisoft has been killing it lately, though, and EA is holding the flag for worst publisher in the biz. Some people have made the argument that EA didn't have anywhere to fall from last gen, and that is true, but I think EA built themselves up high enough at the start of this gen to consider these last few years as a massive fall from grace. It's all about what you've done for me lately, and EA has done absolutely nothing but try to find new ways to rip me off with DLC and online passes. I don't buy Activision games because I don't particularly like them, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with their business practices ethically, and who can fault them for cashing in on the COD franchise? If EA were in the same shoes, they would not only release the same game every year, but they would release DLC for guns and skins, include online pass, etc. Activision is better than EA without a doubt.PurpleMan5000
I think a judge could question how Activision treat their workers in the workplace.

Look at buisnesses like Halliburton,Bank of America and even Coca Cola...and you think EA is bad, the whole EA is the worst company in America was pretty much engineered by pissy gamers not getting what they wanted beccause of the online pass and their what i could consider tight assed spending habits of not buying new which is partially why these things have came into play.Companies gotta recoup a bit of cash on a game somehow considering budgets are has astronomical as they are.
Sorry but this forum just come off as pissy gamers, with no real world ideology or sense bout how capitalism works.Companies exist to make profit nothing else, Apple are equally ruthless they wouldnt be where they are today if they didnt take the decisions they did.
The law essentially exists to be exploited aswell, the majority of the western world IS and always will be a capitalist society its what drives our economy in a fair portion.
Face up things like online passes WILL become the norm next gen, much like the CD-Key and DRM did on the PC, the only ones who beech and whine are the ones who seem to live in a time bubble and refuse to adapt.
The moral of the story is adapt or die, all publishers are just as bad as EA and theres companies far far worse when it comes to buisness practices and i mean WAY worse.
