no, i feel stongly on this for all the sports games. i believe there is no reason what so ever to have to pay full price for updated sports games every year. i noticed a while back they were doing this with nba live. they were charging $40 instead of $50, for the ps2 version atleast, which was a start. but now its back to full price on next gens.

As for NFS, you're right. The series went severely downhill after Most Wanted.

Each franchise needs to just end (at least for a good span of years). Sure these franchises pull in money, hence the over kill, and it's true large franchises fund newer IP, or IP that doesn't fair as well. However, lately from SE the majority of content is focused on the these three franchises with very little else being mentioned or funded with the same degree of resources.

Even as a fan I feel they're just using these franchises as crutches. It's a damn shame that franchises like Parasite Eve, Vagrant Story, Xenogears, Seiken Densetsu, Einhander, Tobal, Chrono, Secret of Evermore, Orge Battles (Tactics), Bahamut Lagoon, Rudora no Hihou, etc. get nothing, or limited resources compared to the big 3.

I can definitely understand your reasons, but I can't fully agree. We all know thats not going to happen tho and I think that those 3 franchises or imo at least two of them, have many chances to still impress gamers many years down the line.

What really needs to die in this situation is SE strategy. Sure those franchises are in itself a reason, but SE stupidity is mostly to blame. Fact of the matter is that most if not all of the franchises you named, if done with the same vigor as those 3 franchises would not only reinforce the fans love for SE, but it would ultimately still give them a hell of a lot of money...

One has to really question the state of the company at this moment... Because quite frankly, I don't know what the hell is going on in those heads.

I have never thought the Mario Party games were that bad even the new Wii one is a lot of fun. Maybe it could be better but it not that bad.

I know Capcom made the 4th Mario Party but I don't know why they did that one and not any more.

Halo. Please, my fond memories of Halo:CE are being dimmed every time a new Halo game comes out and ruins my fun. Halo 3 was good(ish) but the lack of viable online for oceania is a large kill joy.

Final Fantasy. Its a brand and not a series. Anyone who says it should die is a fool. Each and every game is unique and wonderful. Except for XII. Lol... XII... I know that isn't the real game, Square, you're just kidding us up a gum tree.

DoD, MoH, Sports Games, Dynasty Warriors, FF. Some don't need to end, just stop making so many.

Sports games. I can't see how people here criticise Dynasty Warriors for being the same (every damn time) but still somehow care when a new sports game comes out - regardless of the fact it's essentially the same game as last year with improved graphics, one or two new gameplay options, and new player names.

I dislike Final Fantasy spinoffs.

And I think... maybe... it's time Sonic was put down. He used to be great, but I think it's just sad to see him in such awful (awful!) games.
