Which should I buy, Ps3 or Xbox 360

For the Ps3 some of my friends have one and the ps3 has great games coming out.

The Xbox 360 has good games now and I do prefer the 360 controller over the ps3 controller.

I am planning on buying one of the two fairly soon and I cant really decide. :) Both are practically the same it seems like, although the 360 online you need to pay for, which isn't too much of a problem. It does have the better online so I have heard. With the new update and such, but then HOME is coming out for ps3.

I have looked at the games and both consoles lineups seem good.

I just wanted some input from other people.

i doubt people buy consoles if they prefer a controller other a diff controller

well....if you look at the games i rated you rrealise that im not a fanboy. I have PSX and PS2! I really see no reason to buy the PS3.

Well do the newer models of the Ps3 still get the RRoD? The Pro version ... I might buy an Elite... I don't know. My dad said he'd meet me halfway on a system lol so i'm trying to find a good buy. Is the Elite worth the extra 100 bucks? or what.J0k3rs_Ac3

360 you mean ;) And the newer models aren't supposed to RRoD as frequently. They said the same thing about the Elite though :roll:

Just to name a few. Both have some good exclusives and they share a ton of great multiplats.

the price is going down , there is a bunch of goood games out and coming out , its online is on par with xbl and Free , your getting your moneys worth .

I have to admit that the controller factored a bit into my decision. I never felt comfortable with a PS controller, especially in shooters. Why would I buy a console where I wouldn't be confortable with such a basic thing? Why doesn't a third party make a 360 clone for the PS3, and vice-versa?

Well, you are someone that desn't like to play online with your friends then get a PS3. Why? Because the online comunity is VERY low and the PSN is laggy --> Crappy compared to the Xbox 360.

And for sure, if you are someone that likes to play online, ranked matches, etc.. then get a xbox 360. The 60$ per year worth and if you think about it it only cost 5$ per month. It really WORTH it.

But seriously if there was no online on either of these systems I'd get a xbox 360. I haven't touched my PS3 since I finished MGS4. It's all about Xbox 360 now.

lol I said the contrary of what you said >.< All people on my school that are gamers have a 360 or want to get one. PS3 is not really considered for a gaming system, most of people buy it only for the Blue Ray player

Not true. PSN is every bit as good as Live now and I'd even say in some regards it's better. PSN has more big popular games like Warhawk with 32 players, Resistance with 40 players, and Resistance 2 is going to be huge and support 60 players online. And Warhawk and Resistance are virtually lag free.

Go for PS3, there is so many good PS3 games coming out, also PSN is free and quality. Very reliable console.

£300 for a PS3 is excellent due to all the value in PS3.

Also, i was wondering... is it true that the 360 multiplats are better than the ps3s? i heard that they were and just wanted to check.J0k3rs_Ac3

Not now. The gap is getting smaller.

At first, 360 have better quality multi-platform games, but now it's more equal due to developers getting used to PS3 development.

It also depends on the laziness of developers there are still some terrible ports out there (360 is mostly the developers choice), but it is getting better especially on the bigger titles

Go with what your friends have, That is the best advice i can give.

Throughout my gaming life, i have never had more fun on a game, then when im playing with friends.

Even on poor games like Haze and Too Human. With a friendm they rank up there with the best .
