My PS3 just broke so I'm wondering which one I should get. Can someone list the pro and cons of each please?

Thanks :)

Well in terms of improvement... The 360 Slim is better as it was made to resolve the RRoD pandemic. The only benefits the PS3 slim saw was a size decrease from a massive object.

Still, you already have a collection of PS3 games, so I'd recommend that.

Finally putting in the bias part of my argument... PS3 is a better console, and holds many exclusives aside 360's core set. Plus better games ;)

How do I know what you'd like?

Do you want all the JRPGs, or shooters, or the PC multiplats that the 360 has or the lineup of great Rare games?

Or do you want to have access to Sony's first party games?

I can tell you right now the 360 has less features than the PS3, but it does come wifi-ready now

360 Slim solved the RROD brilliantly: The system is physically incapable of showing the red ring, and automatically shuts itself down in case of overheating or something. The actual design problems that cause the overheating haven't been solved. Huge metallic crosses still on the circuit board and so on...

Also, jk, but my "Phat" Wii is better than your gigantic "Slim" consoles :P

Opps :P I like sandbox games, wrestling games and role playing games but dislike first person shooters, platforming games and driving games :P I didn't choose my PS3 (it was my 15th birthday gift!) but never quite regretted it (what with Killzone 2 and Infamous!). However, now that I've tried nearly all of their exclusives (except for Uncharted 2 and Demon's Souls), I was wondering if I should swap over and try Splinter Cell: Conviction and Alan Wake :)

Well, If I had to choose now, i'd pick the 360, just cause i've played all the games i was interested in on the PS3, to death.

Although it has some coming out I'll need to get my hands on, i can wait.

The 360 has more games and features to keep my attention. Although, i'd say the PS3 is by far the better hardware. AndI stress the FAR

Well, you don't like FPS games. So the 360 has Mass Effect, Splinter Cell, Alan Wake and Fable. The Ps3 is looking to get way better than the 360 soon. It has The Last Guardian, FF Versus 13, LBP2 (OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!), Infamous 2, Dead Space 2 Limited Edition (does this count as a shooter, considering the focus is on the horror?) and likely a bunch of great games I've missed. NOW if you were a shooter fan, then I'd be suggesting the 360, if just for Gears 3 and Halo Reach, which could last you to the next console generation along with Multiplats like COD, Ghost Recon etc. It does (admittedly) have a better online service, if just for cross game chat and voice messages. Next generation, without Halo I can't see myself wanting an Xbox, but I'll make that decision way later.

You should just get a PS3 again. Cause well, if you like sandbox games, you're probably gonna want Agent and inFAMOUS 2.

You'll find, if you go on metacritic, that the 360 has more reviewed JRPGs than the PS3.

So does the Wii.

I'm not going to go by looks, because to me, they're pretty much on par. The PS3 Slim is really professional looking while as the new 360 is very glossy and stylish. But still the PS3 slim is my overall pick due to the fact that the new 360 lacks an internal disk drive. I mean.. wth? So archaic.

are you just going to throw away all your existing PS3 games then. why not just get your PS3 fixed. will be much cheaper than buying a new console. also the new 360 is not slim. its smaller but not slimmer at all.

it's not slim sure, but it IS smaller...it'd be dumb to call it 360 small or the "new" 360 all the time....because eventually it's not gonna be new

there are two different 360's....the new one is smaller so we just like to say 360 slim, much better that way

but i see alot of people just saying 360S and imo that's the best thing to call it

No uncharted 2 punches both of those games in the face and then some get a ps3 its the smart move

I have the Ps3 fat that plays Ps1 and Ps2 games so im really bias. Get the 360 slim! I own it and love it! Then again Final Fantasy 14 will be on the Ps3 so get the Ps3 slim! But then again Halo Reach is on the 360 so get the 360 slim! But wait Infamous 2 is on the Ps3 Slim to get the Ps3 Slim! But then again Fable 3 is on the 360 so get the 360!

Nope your just gonna have to get the Ps3 slim and the 360 slim. Life without any one of the 3 consoles in my opinion is just not livable!

Erm then see if you could afford repairing your PS3 and get a Xbox Slim...if not then maybe consider getting just the PS3 slim. It's up to you dude and your preference, whatever games appeal to you/media functionality...

To answer the topic, the 360 S is a better console. BUT, to answer your dilemma, get a PS3 slim, don't go through the trouble of selling all your games and whatnot. If you WANT the 360, then get it. I personally have a slight edge liking to 360 since the online is so much better, but PS3's exclusives win my heart a little bit. Just choose one and go with it.

You look like a wise guy. Therefore I'd expect you won't simply give up on the greatness that the PS3 has to offer.

And keep in mind that PS3 has far better exclusive games. Not to mention the online, which is either completely free or in the case of the PS+ service, blows Live away completely.
