The Slim is an eye catcher....as well as a finger magnet
The PS3 still looks like a bbq grill.....
so neither :P
[QUOTE="eyebrows"]99% of anyone who prefers the design of the PS3 slim are either a) Cows, b) own a PS3 slim and are biased or c) just straight up have God-awful taste.MushroomWigTry to accept the fact that people just have a different opinion to yourself without having to insult them.

Nah, I think I'm good.
I say the PS3 Slim, because the 360 slim is a complete rip-off of the original PS3 design. Glossy black finish... check. Chrome accents... check. Touch sensetive buttons... check. Built-in Wifi... check. jshaas
And which do you prefer out of the PS3 original or PS3 slim?
[QUOTE="RTUUMM"]LOL @ lemms, "360 cuz itz shiny", but before, "PS3s are ugly and the shiny glossy surface suck cuz teh dust and finga prints show"TheMightyHoov
So because some one chooses the 360 for its glossy look they are automatically a lemming?

I don't think he is.
I hate the shiny!! That was one of the reasons I was glad to get a PS3 slim to replace my 40GB Phat. Seams like they just swapped stuff. Sony gets goes matte, gets rid of the touch buttons so microsoft goes shiny, adds built in wi-fi and touch buttons. The 360 slim does look better though but I will stick with my matte, scratch and finger proof PS3 slim and Elite 360.CBCstillmatic
.. Yeah I don't understand it either.. That just makes it a freaking fingerprint magnet.
I don't get this argument...how many times are you going to PHYSICALLY touch the case of either an old PS3 fat or the current Xbox? Apart from the touch-sensitive buttons to eject a disk, why would you really EVER need to touch it? Aside from actually moving it you wouldn't need to.
One of the most dumbest arguments in history.
I have a Fat PS3 and soon to get the new 360. Both will match my HDTV black glossy finish. I look at my HDTV and I don't see finger prints, that's because I use a remote control to turn it on and off. I expect to do the same thing with both of my HD consoles with a glossy finish and use a controller to turn it on and off and eject the discs.
PS3 slim. The 360 slim is one of the worst looking consoles i have ever had to look at. The original 360 looked good, but this just looks horrible. It has a giant dent in the middle of it, it is barely smaller than the 360, it has a huge ugly texture on the top of the console and the shininess makes it get dusty extremely fast. It is quite possibly the ugliest electronic device i have ever seen.
The PS3 slim looks okay, but not great. I think the shell design on the PS3 isn't a good design, but it looks better than the 360 slim.

I suppose you do not dust off your consoles? I baby the hell out of my equipment and use swifter dusters and lint free clothes to dust. Even both my Samsung and Panasonic plasmas have scratches on them and I have only used the cloths that came with the TVs. I think it just happens from the dust particles and is unavoidable unless you dust with a can of compressed air. Both my 360 and PS3 slim are scratch free because there isn't any gloss to scratch.
Hahaha couldn't have said it better. :PThey both look ugly, but at least the 360 is shiny.
PS3 = turd
360 = polished turd
treedoor
PS3 Slim is more simple and seems more like a traditional games console to me. However, the #60S is mroe shiny and thus more eye catching, so that one.

I'm the same which is why I use a special cloth top wipe my equipment and I have a Black Wii, PS3 60gb, Xbox slim, 2 Pioneer HDTVs, Panasonic and Samsung HDTVs (all at least 40") so I know what you're talking about...again, I only mainly wipe the top as I keep them all (except the Wii) positioned Horizontally.
How can anyone get loads of fingerprints everywhere is beyond me.

I have an original design PS3, but I actually like the Slim better. I never understood why, in 2006, they would have to make something so big. Especially after having the PS2 Slim for a few years. Sure the fatty looks nice, but it sure does collect a lot of dust!It was born revolutionary. I meant to say that it is not hard to make a slim console when you're working with outdated hardware... Pretty much also the reason the power draw is ridiculously low like 20watt.[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="civic_misfit"]
It was born obsolete.

Yeah fingerprints should not be a problem unless you move it or something but I know the scratches really ticked me off and I lay both consoles horizontal. I mean it isn't that big a deal and probably only I really noticed it. Just stinks when you really take care of your stuff and it is still unavoidable. I only really used to see them when the sun glared off them. Again not a biggie but just one reason I like the matte versions better than the gloss.
PS3. 360 went from unpolished, non-dust and fingerprint attracting case, to the exact opposite (and it really doesn't seem that much smaller.) PS3 went from highly dust and fingerprint attractive, and shiny, to small not shiny and clean case. Honestly, I like the old 360 case better.
Out of those to 360 its got an alienware look going for it. But i'm not a big fan of ethier black wii and fat ps3 look the best followed by 360 elite and regular wii
