Which Superhero Has The Most Potential For A Great Game?

I'd say superman. With his power and skill-set you could have some seriously awesome fast-paced DBZ-esque battles. I dont think supes has been done justice in gaming yet.

Another hero that hasn't been done justice is spawn. imagine a spawn game using arkham's system. that would be incredible

Im thinking Thor would make an interesting game... but from that list, Yeah, new superman that doesn't suck would be nice.

The imidiate thing that jumps into my eyes are that The Punisher is very well fit for a game, unlike some of the others, He is human, and he IS violent. So if you look at it from possible gameplay he would be the easiest.

I suppose The crow is also fairly easy to make a decent game over, seeing as he is a vengeful (insert word here) that thends to like sharp stabby objects and guns. And that game would atleast have a justified health regen setting :P

These are if we look at what games are, if they can pose a challange, and if they have the right team.

The more difficult one would be superman, he is pretty much invinsible so you could not make a fun game about him, unless you took liberties. It can surely be done, but we would likely see devs looking outside conventional videogame buildups to make such a game a hit (and more importantly a good one)

With the right team of devs (who also happen to be real fans) anyone can have a great game, I just pick the two above, because they would be Easiest to make a game for, since they sort of fit into gaming as it is without much hassle.

a superman game could be great as long as the devs remember he aint a normal superhero that fights bosses etc. it should be about him stopping normal people from getting killed (say chasing a nuclear missile or stopping an asteroid from hitting the earth etc) to make a proper superman game the game world would have to be vast seeing as he can outrun a bullet so im guessing a proper superman game wont be here for another gen or two

I'm not a huge superhero/comic book nerd, so I'll be honest here. Superman and The Flash are the only ones in the poll I actually know. With that said, I don't think it's really possible to make a great Superman game. Unless there's a hell of a lot of kryptonite all over the place, the game takes away your powers for some reason(which completely takes away the point of being superman) or some ridiculous storyline is introduced making every enemy just as uber powerful as Superman then the game will always be super easy and not very good.

In any case, we already have great Spiderman and Batman games, so our superhero gaming needs are already being fulfilled.

Seconded. His powers would lend themselves extremely well to a great combat system.

From that list though, Superman. So much wasted potential there it's not even funny.

Spider-man. Character has a LOT of potential. Devs just suck at making a good Spider-man game.

Well I actually have two that come to mind, one is already on this poll. The Punisher by right never really got himself a fair cut in a game thus far WITH the exception of The Punisher Arcade which was also I believe on sega genesis. It was a beat em up made by Capcom, worth checking out on the arcade for sure if you like games like Final Fight or Streets Of Rage.

The Silver Surfer ain't bad either...

Hi, Riverwolf. There was a HellBlazer game on the PS2, PC, and I think also on xbox "Constantine". Although.. it was a movie licensed game that ignored its comic book roots :( I'd like to see a HellBlazer based off the comics myself, shame, the chances of it happening are slim to none.

Not bad. But a DC game featuring Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Batgirl, Supergirl, Wonderwoman, and Zatanna would trump that any day :P :oops:

Alright alright, so getting to the poll options, I'd go with The Crow. Having dynamic parkour game play in a gritty urban metropolis, and combat consisting of gunkata coupled with freeform unarmed has lots of potential here. The crow spirit guide could be a scout, giving you fly-by recon views of the warzone ahead or other forms of intel to strategiclly plan your entrance into given combat situations.

I can not imagine a Superman game being anything but corny, it would need to be a much darker theemed Superhero.
