I bought myself an iMac, oh and since you created this topic I am sure can appreciate this as a fellow game collector, best inventory and logging system I've ever seen for video games. I have about half of my stuff logged currently, need to keep adding, you can scan the game barcodes directly via the camera and it adds them, it also automatically pulls market values and you can adjust them independently on your own, I am doing it myself for accuracy.

My buddy showed me this awhile ago. It's great for keeping track of collections.
PS4. 2016 is going to be an amazing year for Sony so might as well take the full plunge now and stop playing games on my friend's ps4 when I'm over:P
PC/PS4 combo is the way to go this gen.

Yeah, it's fantastic, I'm backing it up as well for insurance purposes.
Do you just put it on homeowners or whats your process?
@Netret0120 It's going to be a great year for ps4 indeed!

Yeah it would fall under homeowners or renters if that is what you have, I have cloud storage and I keep all of this stuff logged, pictures mainly in the event of a fire, water damage, burglary etc.
It's good as well to make your adjuster privy to what you own so it can be logged in their files should you ever need to file a claim.
I actually didn't ask for anything specific this Xmas.
Whatever I get is what I get.
That's where I am at. I own every system listed and have 2 high end gaming pcs (1 is for when I have guests). I can't wait to see family and hit some nhl 16 up on ps4 with my brother, tis tradition.
@nyadc Thanks for the info. I'll be doing on home owners, just like my photography gear is on.
None. Got my PC and PS 4. Only thing i can think of adding to that would be a new retro gaming tablet.
Black Friday i got myself a PS4 for $299. The $100 price cut in one month was something i couldnt pass up on even tho i probably wont be using the PS4 until SF5 & Uncharted 4 comes out.
I don't know why so many people waited for so long, there's been deals on these things all over the place, I got my PlayStation 4 The Last of Us bundle August 2014 for $292 shipped...
My old PC bit the dust. After several months of gaming on a shit laptop I decided to build a entry level system to upgrade in the next year or so.
I already have a PS4, Wii U, X1 and a 3DS. I did buy some games for myself though
@nyadc: Hey, what is the name of that game tracking software? Could you give me a link or PM me, I would appreciate it. I had some collectorz.com tracking software once upon a time, but that looks slick. I am interested in getting it as well. My game library is large and hard to keep tabs on. Thanks ahead of time. :)

It's an OSX only application just so you're aware, It's called Delicious Library 3.

Don't think I'm getting anything gaming related this year... except maybe an EB Games giftcard.
More then happy with my Xbone.
Surface pro 4, I'll wait with xbone until there's a bundle with a game I'm actually interested in pops out.
Have everything but the X1. Probably buy it at some point but not this Christmas. I mean it depends on what games MS puts out. If I can get them on PC then it's not worth it.
I already had all of the consoles and handhelds. I did buy parts during Black Friday to upgrade my PC in preparation for the upcoming launch of the Oculus Rift. I also bought the new Apple TV, but that was more for the TV functionality than it was for the gaming functionality.

I've been looking at this for a few weeks now, you tube guy I follow named Metal Jesus Rocks mentioned it in a video, couldn't remember the name though. Thanks!
Currently I use vgcollect.com, but it doesn't tell me the value of my collection which is part of what I want. Does this one allow csv import or any type of import? Would save me some time if I didn't have to re-input half of my collection.
None.
My gift to myself/my fiancee this year was a trip to New Orleans for Christmas.
We are here right now (and I'm posting on GS because of the rainy weather).
Systems? None. I just bought myself a bunch of games for PS4.
I was tempted by the Splatoon/Smash bundle, but I just stuck to my guns with the $199 price point that I felt it should be.
I'm too old to "ask" for gifts. So I don't expect any game consoles, in fact I pretty much tell people not to get me game consoles anyway. I'd rather have better gifts than that, a game console is a gift you give a child for Christmas or buy yourself.

That's awesome! Have your personal parade for 300 bucks or whatever they cost. All you have to do is go down the police station and they'll set it up for you!
@nyadc lol i'm setting up delicious library, only have 5 games and i'm over 1500 USD already(no, they're not vga graded, just sealed games). Going to have to go in manually do some stuff.

Hahaha that is actually who I heard about this program from, oh this is way better man, way better. Yes, you can import and export their library files, it keeps track of everything you enter so you lose nothing, not even the covers that you add, it all gets logged.

If you edit prices does it update it immediately?

Yes, I can make a little video about this later today if you guys would like to see how it works and the process.

Sure, I'd like to see that vid. Also this program costs $25? Not sure I can justify the cost just yet, any idea what kind of iOS support there is for this? I may try to pick up an old iPhone so I can carry this with me when I'm game shopping, only other Mac in my life is my computer at work.

Alright, I will be out for a few hours today but when I get home I'll put something together. Yeah it's $25, it's not an iOS application, there is an iOS scanning app though for scanning barcodes, but for the main program it's OSX 10.10+ and requires a 64 bit processor. I'm on the extreme end of things where I could justify spending $850 on the computer just to do this, also Mac's hold their values for a very long time so even a few years from now if I decide to sell it I won't lose that much. This is moreso a suggestion if you already have one or access to one and want to keep track of things, I've seen nothing better.

Yeah, I'll have to finish adding my games to vgcollect and see how well the transfer works with this program, run it on my mac at work to get an idea of the value of my collection and insurance type stuff. I like the vgcollect site but it's useless on phones, and as you probably already know, it can be a total pain in the ass trying to figure out if you own a game or not when you're in the store and find something interesting. I've got like 100-150 doubles across ps1 n64 dcast and xbox because of that now. ;\
