Which System has the better name?

Lol i'd agree but only because of the memories when I got my first Game Boy when I was young and it was the old big fat one. Now that was an icon. If the screen was better i'd love to still use one of those. That and the Gameboy Pocket, I thought looked real nice. I never thought the GB Color looked quite as good.

I kind of liked the PAL name for that, MEGA Drive. Sounded cool at the time :P.

That's funny I never thought of it like that, even with what I posted earlier. I actually think Genesis was one of the better console names....right next to the Turbo GrapiX SIXTEEN.:lol:....alright I kid and that was pushing it.

Also I believe you forgot to list the great peripheral for the MEGA Drive...the MENACER.

so you play so its called play and the console is a station? play station? um ok whatever.

sega? too short and wierd

nintendo is a household name.. xbox sounds pretty cool..any of those 2 i choose.

I think it's just because Genisis doesn't mean a whole lot to me, like it doesn't trigger memories or feelings associated with anything just because I never had it.

But it sounds epic I guess... Biblically EPIC. :P

Yeah the original marketing for the N64 was far more teen/sleak(if those are the right words). I remember the original logo being made out of metal, I believe. I'm really not sure why nintendo switched it up--perhaps the launch lineup, I don't know. I like Nintendo 64 though. If I was in charge I'd just come up with a name that would gather attention:

Xbox Cigarette.

Slightly off topic, but when I play Halo online there's always these kids with these names that include all different kinds of symbols/strange spellings. I talk to them, but I pronounce their names how they spell them and they actually get upset.
