Which system holds the most unprofessional and self absorbed developer?

if cliff cared about games more than david jaffe he would of told developers to focus on gameplay instead of jaffe.

jaffe is pretty badass because he's the only one who had the balls to say to the community what ive been trying to tell people on these forums ever since i signed up.

Naughty Dog on PS3 I'm playing some Uncharted right now and have to say, for all the posturing they do, they sure didn't start with a very impressive game. The controls are clunky, there are glitches everywhere, and the gunplay is horrible. Not to mention the terrible "platforming" and grossly over-saturated color palate. The story, while interesting from a "popcorn adventure" perspective, it is really quite dull and derivative. It makes me wonder why anyone even bought the game in the first place, or how it got a trilogy. Hell, Metal Gear Solid 4 is a *far* superior game, and has you watching cutscenes half the time. And Naughty Dog now think they are the sh*t because they sold some highly derivative junk to Sony faithful looking for something to play? Arrogance much? foxhound_fox

I loved Drake's Fortune. I played through it about 6 times, it was a day 1 buy for me, and I loved it, all before the game franchise hit stardom with Uncharted 2.

I respect your opinion that you don't like it, but you have to understand that lots of people love it. To call it derivative junk is a bit extreme. It is sort of a jack of all

trades, but a master of none. It incorporates a lot of different gameplay mechanics, and it does it well enough. It's not the 3rd person shooter that Vanquish or Gears of

War is, and it isn't the platformer that Mario is, but that doesn't stop it from being a great game.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything and I know I won't change your opinion, but just understand that there are people who play lots of different types of games that

like Uncharted a lot. It's even more of a special franchise for me because I liked it before it was a big hit. It's been fun seeing a franchise I liked so much become so well

recognized and get the attention, critically and commercially, that I feel it deserves.

I always felt Jaffe was one of the most realest people in the industry. :?
