The Wii
Hardcore =/= Guns
Hardcore gamers are rare and are the ones that would rather play NES and Sega Genesis games on those old consoles than touch current gen ones. I don't own a Wii but I've been told you can play rather old games on it from those gens, if this is true then I believe the Wii is actually the most hardcore since the hardcore would buy it simply to DL and play these old games.
Wii is most hardcore by far.
If you'd played this you'd agree with me.

Sorry, I couldn't even figure out what it was. I was blinded by the 1337.
PC hands down.
followed by PS3,360,PSP,DS(reading is hardcore LOL),Fisher Price toy,Wii (yes, that was a joke)
[QUOTE="philhilluk"][QUOTE="shakmaster13"]Self-made PC's are the most hardcoreTrue_Gamer_If I saw someone turn a pile of sand into a PC then I would agree with you. But seeing as everyone just buys ready made components and just bunged them in a case then they hardly built it themselves. lol I have attached a wireless adapter to my 360 myself as well as plugged in the HDMI and power plugs... I feel so proud of the console I built.. lol... :) the level of ignorance in this post is staggering...
I built my PC from scratch. I have added parts to it over the year. It's rubish, and the only thing it can play fairly well is Sam and Max, which is of course "casual". Does that make me a "hardcore" gamer? There is nothing hardcore about buying pre made computer parts and sticking them together, it just proves you can put together a working computer system using things you didn't make. Now building your very own system at component level, and then proceding to program it, that's hardcore!

can you define me the person that cannot operate a mouse on basic level...that finds clicking "next" 3 times mindboggling...and that is a console gamer? If being able to put toghether a PC is considered "casual"...what about people that dont have any idea about that? How do you call them?I say Xbox 360. The Wii is unarguably the most casual, but I think the PS3 is finding a sort of middle ground with games like Little Big Planet and free online services for those who only play online casually (And don't want to pay for a superior service they wont use very often.)mstc_QI think Xbox 360 is in the middle, because it has TONS of casual games on XBLA, and with games like Banjo, Viva Pinata, etc. but has a good mix of hardcore games, like RPG's, shooters, and exclusives. Where Wii is a total casual system, with maybe 2 or 3 hardcore titles not even avail. here. PS3 is kind of like the Xbox 360, with a fewer games, and high tech, Blu-Ray player which appeals to a certain crowd (it's not mainstream yet, DVD is still king). And interent Explorer which isn't even a part of a video game system.
Â
so, in a nutshell
1. PS3
2. Xbox 360
3. Wii

Hmm...
Â
If you are a hardcore gamer, the 360 is the obvious choice.
Â
Â
If you are a a harcore movie watcher, then the PS3 is the machine for you. Think about it...you got Blu-ray...and the machine's greatest game, MGS4, is just basically an interactive movie about some dude called Snake. Â
Huh? Consoles aren't hardcore. If Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo all limited themselves to such a small demographic, they'd each be bankrupt.
They each produce casual consoles and some try harder than others to offer something to these self-proclaimed hardcores.
There's no in between.
