Just wondering which system I should get the game on ps3 or 360??
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I have no idea.
I got the 360 version, and it actually has a DLC 360 costume for Isaac (white and green). It's free and it's pretty cool lookin.
The ps3 version probably looks just the same, but since it's a shooter, I would probably go for 360 unless your trying to bump up your trophy score on the ps3.
Bleh, I couldn't imagine playing Dead Space on the PS3. I can already take a guess that R1 is primary fire lol. Millennium_King
What's wrong with that? It works really well.
Anyway, both are the same. But since it's a horror game you might wanna go for the PS3 version since it has better audio.

It's basically a devs way of saying the PS3 triggers are a fail. They are. They're slippery and springy.
The one that smells like purple.
On second thought, perhaps it'd suit the game's atmosphere better if you didn't have this constant WHIIIIIIIIIRRRRRR in the background.

If you can hear the whiiiiirrrr then you have a sucky sound system. Dead Space does not have a bunch of quiet scenes...there is always some loud creaky stuff going on.

lol...the 360 can ALWAYS be heard. It's one of the few faults of the machine... :( I hate how loud they are.
Based on the control scheme alone, I'd say the 360 version is the best--but I guess that's subjective.Bentham\
I've played both versions and the ps3 has better control scheme and sensitivity, but both identical otherwise besides suit colors White and Yellow-green for xbox and black and purple-blue for the ps3

DRM much?
Have they announced what specific type of DRM they're putting on it? That's the version I was going to be picking up, but if it's the same as Spore's, I guess I'm going to have to go with 360...

If you are a Pirate there is no problem. However if you buy the game ligitimately then they include an install limit.

Right.
I've been having some problems with my install of Vista (at one point, I had to reinstall 3 times in one week), so the DRM would present problems for me...
How many computers do you have in your house what can run dead space? ...Three's plenty and some games even have 5 limit All_that_is_Man
I've got about 60 years of my life left to live, and between then, a few new computers and fresh operating systems to use.
I think I'd want more than 5 installs.

The drm won't even be be required in 5 years, the activation servers will be on to bigger and better things and you'll be just fine

and ....You'd be on to bigger and better games and like you update your computer you'd update your console and your 360 will either be sold or most likely broken...and You wouldn't get to play it anyways
It lets you reinstall on the same computer over and over as long as it doesn't have different hardwareAll_that_is_Man
With Spore DRM, which is what I'm worried about, you can install it as many times as you want on the same computer, but, if you do a reformat or something of the sort-something that forces you to use a new install of Windows-it does not register as the same PC and, consequently, one of your installs is lost.
and you can't uninstall the game before you reformat?All_that_is_Man
Either way, it recognizes the PC as a new PC due to the new install of Windows, so it doesn't matter whether or not you uninstalled it.
Uninstalling the game doesn't magically return your total number of installs, I'm afraid... :(
Well If people would stop pirating games, then they wouldn't need them.
PC would make so much bank if all you pirates would actually buy the game!

thats true, untill you get the Giotek real triggers, and click those on....MUCH better! just recently heard about it, thanks to some posters here. I really hate the DS3 controller..but that helps.
It hurts people who buy the games, people have always pirated games, this only makes people not want to buy the game IMO.Well If people would stop pirating games, then they wouldn't need them.

The version on Intellivision...
Seriously, PS3 owners will say PS3. 360 owners will say 360. And no one will know for sure which one is the best version.

what if you own both?
is it me or are multiplats usually washed out on ps3 in comparison to 360? :?
i'm leaning toward 360 version if this is true
Nope not for about a year now...and I've played both and can say they are Identical for everything except controls...its up to you whether you prefer ps3 or 360 controls......I lean toward ps3 for a game like this...I know you'd think 360 since its a shooter but not this time, the ps3 controller takes the cake in my book for this game.
now Im going to bed...Night

Jackboot343
not this game, the ones that are, are due to the 360 being the primary console then ported over...more devs are doing the opposite and getting much better result, it also depends on the developers, shown in some mulitplats which the PS3 version is better, etc.
IGN claims they're identical.

Wow, I can't hear it. Like I said your sound probably isn't that good. But I agree some games you can hear it easily. But dead space I can't hear it at all.
