Obviously 7th generation. Better graphics. RickTophenwhy not only game on a gaming rig then? If graphics are the thing, might as well go all in for the best.
I am so with you. The nes master system/snes-genesis generation were my favorite. Followed by ps2-gc-Xbox. This really does show ages of posters, your right :-SThreads like these mostly show the age of the people on here. People born in the early 90's are probably going to vote for the 5th or 6th generation because of nostalgia. I personally think the 4th generation was the best, probably because I was a kid and... Games were better back then, damn it.

7th generation coz of better specs in everything leading to better gameplay, better graphics n better in many other ways IMO.
4th generation easily. I grew up in the the late 80s and early 90s, the latter being my high school years (class of '96).
4th gen was pretty much a simple time and the best time to follow videogames.
Nothing comes close to SNES vs Genesis. 2 consoles waging war, with having the best exclusives and best 3rd party support on both sides. Yes there was NEC's TG-16, NeoGeo and other less popular systems. But clearly Sega's and Nintendo's systems were THE SYSTEMS to own.
Oh yeah and BETTER MUSIC and more than enough retail stores to BUY physical CD's/vinyls/cassettes, but that's a different story.
The current one is always the best. But if I would add nostalgia to the mix probably the 4th one.
Doom, Super Mario Allstars, FFVI, Chrono Trigger, A link to the past, Super Metroid, Syndicate, Top Gear, Strike Trilogy, F-Zero, X-men, Sim City, Star Wars Trilogy, Phantom 2040, Donkey Kong Country, among others. Good times.
